May have hit a hitch on this… Totally my fault. I received the boards and went ahead and reflowed my last three LED’s on to it. Here is the hitch, these are set up for three index-able LED’s, or for series, so to get them parallel is a pain…
I used 24 Ga silicon wire, the thinnest I had…
If anyone still wants these boards, I will honor that, but if you want to back out due to this, no problem. I can barely get the optics on. The center hole is too small as well, so running wires that way is a tough feat above 24 GA.
As for the type of LED’s, I still haven’t had time to figure out which one to get, this took up some time for me today…. I should have that posted soon… Figured I would let this sink in first…
I am a bit bummed about this, but lesson learned…
UPDATE, that was fast, have 16 boards claimed already! This batch is on its way to me before I posted for the boards. It looks like this weekend I will be able to finalize what LED’s will be ordered this go around. I am still taking requests for these LED’s, they work on single XP sized LED MCPCB’s fairly well. I am hoping to keep the price below $2 an emitter, shipped for these if I can get enough interest. Say a minimum of three LED’s by themselves?
If you are interested in more of the DTP Triple Aluminum SinkPADs, go ahead and post here too, the MOQ is 40 of them, so we can build that list separately.
I will have 16+ of these for sale, $3 ea shipped or 4 for $10. Claimed already! International inquiries will be done on a case by case basis, and I will check how much a letter costs to send to your country, so extra shipping costs there, but hopefully not too much.
These are the ALUMINUM Direct Thermal Path (DTP) triple emitter (parallel) boards for the Osram Olson SSL 80Deg LED’s. These are a bit smaller than the Cree XP sized pads, so these boards are not offered in copper. But they are SinkPads and have the direct thermal path from the center pad to the back of the board.
Reflowing the SSL’s onto XP noctigon triples was giving me a few headaches as I am not that good a reflower yet, so that is what prompted me to do this. I am going to get them in and test them against my skills, if it is easier, I will post it. Same if it is harder, then I will proceed to eat the order… such is the nature of risk. :cowboy_hat_face:
Also let me know if you would be interested in the LED’s for these, I was thinking of ordering a bunch to get a better price, but if the interest is not there… These are the 80 degree viewing angle (tight, huh?) 90+ CRI minimum (96 typical) LED’s that Djozz tested HERE They have a very low Vf and have been great in my lights I have put them into. They are not really fit for a FET driver, but the light color is fantastic. A very halogen light color and more straw colored than the rosy Nichia’s…
