I’m the devils advocate. I did not include a donation with the transaction.

Once my lights arrive, I’ll contact someone on the team and take care of it directly.

Personally I think that’s very reasonable. When I donated I just went with the default not realizing that there was an option to increase. Now that I see the donations are listed publicly, I’m not sure how I feel about that. Seems in pretty poor taste to publish the generosity of other users.

I also donated the default amount, I was more worried about not screwing up my order and having to ask for corrections later… Will donate more once I have the light and everything checks out fine.

Wow, i did not notice that column since 9 out of 10 times in on my cellphone and it doesn’t show up. Now im on my laptop i see all those people being published who have made donations and who didn’t like me.
I guess there will always be an option to make donations for the team or for future projects?

Please don’t feel obligated to donated.
We appreciate it but also understand if you don’t do it.
We understand that not everyone has money laying around to just give away.

i am not really happy with showing who donated how much - i do not like the idea that someone feels bad for not donating :(

My only thinking is that putting the amount donated out there in a public forum gives the exact opposite impression. I already sent a PM several days ago to one of the members asking how to donate more, but now that I know it’s going to be made known to anyone and everyone, quite honestly, I’m less inclined.

Wish you were here when this project started, just to get a perspective how hundreds of people debating on designs and small details that are not even too important…

But all that bla bla get us here at the moment, where we are expecting the final product to be shipped to our doorstep…

How does Neal get on if I ordered his Samsung 35E batteries as I live in Australia.

Lithium Ion batteries usually cannot be transported by plane.

Does he put them inside the light or what?

As you can see from posted photos, light is transported disassembled in 3 pieces, head, battery tube with battery holders and tailcap. Batteries will be stored inside of battery holders that are stored inside of battery tube.
Not sure how will this work for shipping companies but I sorta remember reading somewere recently that DHL does offer shipping batteries, I hope it will go smoothly via DHL because I also ordered batteries and they also can’t be shipped otherwise to my country, so, crossing my fingers and hoping for the best

If I was Lumintop or thorfire or any other manufacturer doing business with the Blf, I would release little to no pictures of the manufacturing process or parts unless I have to because there are literally hundreds of bored flashlight enthusiasts chomping at the bit to scour every picture with a magnifying glass to find anything that could be a flaw. I would leave the pics for the customers to take on their own. I honestly don’t think that those reflectors are going to be op, nor the anodizing chipped everywhere. The GT is going to become the flagship of the Lumintop brand, I think they want as close to perfect as is possible.

It surely has that effect on some people but others might feel the need to donate after seeing the donations.

I agree that it shouldn’t be made public, there is no reason or informative ) purpose to show the donations.

Nevertheless, remember how close the GT is! Shipping should start coming week and some might be able to get it the same week!

You don’t need to come here to check for a PM. I think the default forum settings are to send out emails when you get a PM. So just to be sure, send a PM to someone telling them to reply. Then see if you get an email when they reply back. If so, you know you are good to go.

After starring at this picture for a while I realized with eight 18650 batteries and the massive amount of aluminum surrounding the Emitter and driver this thing should have unreal run times do to its thermal cooling ability. I LOVE IT! :laughing: :sunglasses: Any guesstimations on how long it will run on turbo before stepping down?
