They absolutely have to be losing money on the $115 orders… This thing is in absolutely incredible shape and quality on the outside and threads. I can’t find a single defect on any part of the light even so much as a faint scratch. Amazing.

For those who are still waiting… be patient because the wait is well worth it.

Ya’ never know FlashPilot…… my method would be a heap faster than the PayPal dispute that one poor, seemingly distressed gentleman was considering.

That would add stress of top of stress for him…. it would anyone in a similiar situation. I hate to see people stressed.

The biggest problem would be discussing who is going to pay for shipping from the Original Purchaser to you. I don’t think any of us can say with any level of certainty that shipping addresses can be changed quickly enough considering how slow neal is to respond. And even if you offer to pay for reshipping to you, I doubt they would want to let it go once they have it in their hands, especially at $111 or $150 (+S&H).

BTW, This is NOT a complaint to neal!! He is obviously busy and I have full respect for everyone working on this project.

Besides, as put-down as many people are at not being part of the First shipment, I’m sure EVERYONE is hoping to be part of the Next shipment, and if not, then the Next One After since they are already on the list and it is confirmed that getting their GT is not an impossibility like it could have been a month ago.

So the only reason I see anyone relinquishing their claim on a GT are people who have unexpected, immediate, and/or serious financial issues or those whom developed a severe distaste for this project altogether along the way.

So, to those people, I say this:

My offer was made to anyone on the first 555 list who’s order had/has not shipped. Contingent on a confirmation that shipping name & address could be/had been changed to mine.

The offer was / is made as a humanitarian effort to quickly relieve the apparently overwhelming stress anyone might feel because of this ‘perceived’ delay.

Also to prevent anyone who might be inclined to “file a PayPal claim” from having to go through that ordeal…. which would only add more stress to an apparently already over stressed person.

Simple as that…… Bada bing, Bada boom……. it is done!
No mess, Zero stress……. Have money…. will send it. .

Even though I was 976 on the sign up list, I guess my lightning fast payment got me on the early ship list. Mine came in yesterday 2 hours after I left for the holiday. My neighbor has it now.

By my calculations you were the 576th person to pay. So far I had only heard from the 550th person. I think Neal was looking for as many USA orders with no batteries as he could find to fill the pallet.

Thanks I guess it was whatever made the most sense logistically. I’m just sad I missed it, we are down the beach and it would have been fun to shoot it up and down the beach.

Picked up my GT at the local post office this morning, and after marveling at the size, I noticed that it appears Lumintop missed making the switch cover change on my light. The switch cover is black, and I can’t see the LEDs glowing under the cover until I went into a dark closet. My bigger concern is that if they missed changing the switch cover on this light, the firmware also wasn’t flashed to correct the issue that was discovered. Does anyone know what issue I might see if my light didn’t get the firmware “upgrade”? I guess it’s possible that they only missed changing the switch cover and not the firmware, but I’d light to figure out if I’m going to see a firmware issue.

Yes, they are shipping by the pallet and my guess is they needed a few more to fill up the non-battery USA shipment so they dipped into the 2nd set to fill it up.

We can expect the DHL shipments that are going by pallet to follow this, you generally don’t pay much or anymore for a full pallet, so you can figure they will fill it up.

Is there any way to find out if/when my GT order has shipped? Received PM letting me know ‘my # had come up’ :+1: . On 12/10/17 made the purchase including the 4 batteries through PP :money_mouth_face: . Also followed-up with the requisite BLF UN and Phone #. PayPal payment was processed but, even despite my reaching-out to Neal a few days ago, haven’t heard anything back :email: ? I do quite a bit of buying & selling using PP and, even if I don’t notify Buyer directly, I always include order tracking in the PP transaction. Except for the follow-up request for BLF UN and phone number I haven’t heard anything else regarding my purchase? If anyone has any feedback please shoot a PM to me - this thread is difficult for me to follow. Thanks in advance for advice, update or just any communication at all regarding my GT purchase.

Most likely his was shipped in the pallet group that came to the USA. He said he DID NOT have batteries.

They will send you a new boot I am sure.

For the driver, there is a chance it was done since I am sure they were fixed by separate people.

Try taking off the tailcap and then pressing the carriers down manually to complete the circuit. See how many times the LED blinks and how fast it blinks.

EDIT: Talked to him via PM and his firmware appears to be correctly reflashed. So just the boot that need to be fixed. A fairly easy fix luckily.

For NarsilM, First operation, may be have some puzzle.
However, be patient and read the user manual carefully.
If confused, lost in manual.
Please reset the factory settings, and try again.

Below is the reset operation.
If, blink’s speed, you can read it smoothly.
Then, the firmware must be normal.

No, but I kind of doubt there are enough DHL shipments to fill a pallet to most countries besides the USA, so it is unknown when those will ship. It is kind of floating on the DHL shipping schedule right now.

I just talked to AG76 via PM and it appears his firmware was reflashed properly, so he just has the wrong boot. A pretty simple issue to fix.
