Please help me find a BLF torch

Dear all,
A very dear friend gifted me a BLF branded torch about a decade ago. It has been an extremely effective torch.
Im not in touch with him anymore sadly, but ive taken on some new staff in my side job and id love to gift them the same torch.

Please is anybody able to help me find more of these torches? Google lense is not helping me.

Apologies for putting you to the trouble folks.
I joined the forum for this one pupose (but… i al a torch nerd a little so ill stay)

I know this one because ZeroAir uses it as a comparison beam colour in all his reviews and despite my begging, Killzone refuse to send me one to the UK. :rage:

It’s a SingFire SF-348 with a different LED. It was a special edition for BLF and isn’t available in this exact configuration anymore.

Wow I didn’t realise there was a run that were laser engraved with BLF!

I still use mine a lot, it’s such a nice shape/size and the single mode is good for most uses.

If you’re okay with cold white/poor colour rendering, the singfire 348 was the same flashlight with different emitter.

A quick Google suggests these are indeed difficult to find nowadays, unfortunately.

For a bigger gift light, the Acebeam Pokelit AA is not bad at all, plus uses a rechargeable cell (included).

Thanks for joining the party, SGTbubble!

Maybe someone who orders from KZ can get however many you want, and remail to you? No idea how much shipping would be, though.

Thanks man, I looked into it before and pricing for a re-sending company to forward a couple. Prices were double the price of the light.

They’re out of stock at KZ. And I’m kinda over it

That’s the dreaded BLF-348, think it had a 219C in it.

Cute light, but hair-thin threads that are soooo easy to cross-thread if you’re not really careful. If you do, it’s then a press-fit light afterward.

Dunno if anyone still makes it, either the 219C BLF version or the lo-fi Singfire version.

Disappointing. I cant seem to find any configiration in the uk

Sadly ive checked and they wont ship over here for a small order.

Nichia 219B sw45k.

You sure? I remember mine and it was in fact “greenish” and not at all rosy.

I didn’t mind at all, given that I like the dreaded 4C XM-L that came with an assload of S2+es, but only after I swap reflector for TIR lens for better light-mixing and to scramble the fried-egg.

I’m almost positive about it being a 219C because I remembered that it was my first of “the newest (at the time) Nichia”.

Okay, I just goggled it quick, and apparently it came out with the 219B originally, but later versions came with the 219C 'though advertised as the 219B (that some people were grexing about as “greenish”), and the newest versions come with the 519A.

I must’ve gotten the middle version.

Again, I didn’t mind it, but yeah, to me, it was definitely yellowish-greenish but not at all objectionable.

I still maintain that, because sunlight is actually a bit above the BBL, hence my calling the 4C XM-L behind a TIR lens, “like warm sunlight”.

Yes, I am sure. The BLF-348 had the 219B.

They can and did label/call them however they want.
The early batches definitely had better tint than the later ones. What the actual LED was? Do not know, never tore one down and don’t know if that would have revealed anything if done.
Bought quite a few of all batches during that time frame.

Liked that flashlight for a time but always thought it needed a low setting and the previous mentioned brittle threads were a concern as well.

I think they were 219B 5000k . That was one of the easier BLF lights to get at the time .

I use a service called Shipito. They have a warehouse in Oregon (no US sales tax) and reship to you via DHL, fees are not too bad.

You are right, 5000k. All of the several group buy threads say “equipped with well known and admired Nichia 219B 5000K 90CRI emitter (NVSW219B-V1 sw50 R9050).”
