In theory, any light using the Nanjg 105c driver can use 6 volts but it is a very bad idea.
Voltage above what the diode needs is burned off as heat.
It gets very hot very fast.

I just wanted to say THANKS! This is the best light I’ve ever bought solely because of a forum recommendation. I took this out to the country for a few days and am impressed. Build quality, output and throw would be outstanding at twice the price.
I agree that a stainless bezel ring would be a plus, and the fact that mode memory works even when the light is on is a little strange, but this light is outstanding. Runtimes were good on an ET 2500mAh and next I’ll see how long it lasts on a 3100mAh. The only big “con” is that my $125 TK41 is now a big paperweight!
My configuration is 4-mode in NW (and if you’re wondering, yes, the moon mode is low enough to be really useful - nice mode spacing as well).
