Q8, PMS SEND TO THOSE WITH ISSUES BLF soda can light

Hello,

@ all: thanks you for all the work you all put in.

@ Miller: Could you please also add me to the list for 2 pcs?

Thanks and regards, Joachim

Something like that Frank, a bit under a Benji for a heckofa kit!

OP updated
almost 1000 on the BLF interest list, combined with the CPF list 1000 is well reached, WOW humbling!

Hello!
Also joined BLF to be able to say: I am in for one BLF Q8. Please put me on the list!

Many thanks!

Welcome to BLF, just updated the list so you will be added later

In for 1 please.

1000+ is only part of the story.
For every person committing to purchase, many more have benefited by following along with the Q8’s birthing pains.
It has increased awareness, provided educational opportunities, changed the way many of us consider flashlights, group purchases, community togetherness, and the entire world of flashaholism.
Thanks again.

@Tjohn, well said.

Does anyone know ThorFire's manufacturing capacity? I'm just wondering how long after being given the go-ahead it might take them to make 1k+ units, a couple weeks or a couple of months? I'd imagine the shipping alone to be a bit of a nightmare, too.

Thanks Dale, sounds about right, with the added benefit of creating a new flashaholic. I can’t even imagine the awe of someone currently impressed by the Sipik zoomies.

Please put me down for one!

I'll catch the list the next time you update it. Thanks!

Put me on the list for one too.
Can’t wait to have one in my hands!

Hey David, put me on the list for one of those 200 lights you’re giving away. :stuck_out_tongue:

Since there are so many people joining due to this light, I thought it might be a good time to refer back to lithium ion battery safety.

I don’t know how many people have come to the site just for this group buy, but if you are watching and waiting patiently for this light, there are lots of great posts, threads, and links to help quickly educate yourself on safety. Even in stock form, this light will require more than just your typical flashlight safety habits. The fact that it’s able to draw quite a few amps from the cells warrants some “reading up” on good habits for handling and charging your cells.

Here’s the link…
Lithium-ion Battery Safety 101

Please add me to the list for a Q8! Thank you!

btw, has it been discussed with Thorfire what amount of flashligts they can produce/sell at $40/each ?

1000+ users list looks nice but frightens me a bit…

KIL, did I miss you? Sorry if so
Will update list later and I think it is time for a topic title change to ask people to check their entry/ies to see if I made mistakes.

Yeah good post.

Sounds great…please add me to the list. Thx

You did, but only because I have been without a computer since early November. It's nice to be back. My post yesterday was the first time I made a reservation for the Q8.

Welcome to BLF!
And KIL, ahok, of course will do it next time, good t have you back!

Newbie here, that was my first post on this forum, been a ghost here for a week or so. Just got a SRK, clone I guess, 12 T6 led setup,…the light is well made, nicely machined etc etc but the distance is lousy. OOh, newbie to “multi-emitter” flashlights as well…been looking at some of the mods people have done here…and seems I am better off getting the “Custom light” you guys have designed. I can do mechanical stuff but forgot most about electricity shortly after college - and that was a long time ago

Very informative stuff here. Thx much
