Not well! since it is not just a cylinder of copper that has been press fit but rather an inverted hollowed out cone of copper fit into an aluminum cylinder with fins aluminum somehow capped with the steel plate and final cap of copper. when you cut thru the steel you find the aluminum continues on solid under the copper cap. I am curious now and will lock it into the vice and just cut in in half to see what’s what.
Oops sorry, welcome to BLF!
Will update list later
And if I am not mistaken this is my 100th post with “welcome to BLF” in it in this thread, this not only shows my postcount should not be taken serious - for there are people posting a mere 100 or 1000 posts full of enlightening info - but also at least 100 people have made an account to join the Q8 , very cool thanks all!
Started a thread on the UltraFire new generation SRK's, the ones with the digital display, here: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/45280. Just got one in and posted some comments, pictures, and some details.
That might not be enough. Two will be for home, one for the jeep, another for work. I’m not sure when it happened, but I turned into a big fan of the soda can format. It offers long battery life, high current, okay thermal, and tail stands very well. That last one may be why I grab it more than anything else when I’m at home.
If I was to purchase 4 batteries in preparation for the Q8, which would you recommend? Would those same 4 batteries work well in something like a Meteor M43? Thanks for your input!
Lots of batteries are plenty good enough. Tom E has been doing the testing. If you look back a couple pages, you can find his comparison of several top batteries. But, it has been said that we should wait to get batteries closer to the time when the Q8 will be released, in case we can get someone to give us a sale/discount at that time.
