Q8, PMS SEND TO THOSE WITH ISSUES BLF soda can light

:+1: … I think your on to something alternety.
.

I’m looking for a budget flashlight, that could fit in a large jacket pocket, not another computer with fans, especially one that needs a pump and radiator and a backpack for transport. I hope that was a tongue in cheek suggestion. Perhaps an idea for the next contest build? Unusual or insane could be just the ticket to win.

Yes, I’m pretty sure it was humor. If he was serious he would have had a backpack container of liquid N2 and used super conducting LEDs.

Well yeah, I would surely think it was humor……

Please put me on the interest list

There are plenty of liquid cooling systems out there for RC car/boat motors. Might be possible to modify one for use with the Q8.

Something like this, for example: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/hobbyking-liquid-cooling-system-for-rc-cars-with-self-circulating-pump-and-radiator.html

I think you may really be on to something here cmflippen!! .
.

I’m already on the list for 1 light, but I’d like an additional. Can you please update me to 2?

Interesting cooling ideas heheh can’t wait to see the mods.

Welcome to BLF
Will update the list later

Thats what you keep saying miller, and now i suffer from severe fear of missing out

PS. the past 4 Computers of mine have been water-cooled, but i use to dabble in overclocking and case modding so for a period i almost build a new computer every year.

Okay overclocking i have been doing since i build my 700 MHZ computer that was drop jaw fast back then, but i don’t really do that any more other than what my Intel CPU do on its own when i throw some work at it, and the cooling system respond automatic to increase in heat so pump and fan speed are amped up as heat try to go up.

No fear the list will be updated soon

Or... Mount in on a bike, and pedal really hard. Let nature do it's thing.

Please update me to 2.
Thanks, Mike

Ooooooh! Nice marketing Tom! An exercise flashlight!

The active cooling mod that O-L did was a classic. I thought he did it to an SRK, adding a fan. Maybe it was the mod where he added another battery carrier, turning it into 2S4P. Can't find the link though, even in the mod list: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/18590. Must be missing it...

He did several SRK mods - all classic BLF mod threads, well, just about all O-L mod threads are classics. We need to create a list of SRK posted mods to have here as a reference.

So how heavy a flashlight can you bench press Dale?

I really think the cooling system (if not a N2 backpack which would work in airless environments) should be housed in an exterior unit, sort of like an attache case for the sake of convenience. Maybe we could also contact NASA and the ESA for ideas.

Dale is old and broken. No bench pressing anything heavier than pill bottles these days. :frowning:

@The Miller

Please sign me up for one, as well.

Thank you.

Hahaha flashlight bicycle racing, who can keep his Q8 coolest

Yes will do, welcome to BLF!

Tom hated the idea
But I hate seeing such nice guys spend money on parts when I ask them to help even more

so I ask for small donations to help me, this is my question from my feeling of doing wrong to the super friendly people who so generous help. Now seeing the costs rise with the GT and knowing I want to do more projects.
