XTAR XP4 Panzer, charges virtually all rechargeable cells and does 4 at 1A simultaneously. $29.90 at mtnelectronics.com.

I have an 8 bay Gyrfalcon from Richard that will charge all 8 bays at 1A, also does 4.35V cells to NiMH cells.

Don´t you guys have any trouble getting Lithium Ion batteries shipped from China? BG and Fasttech are both cancelling any orders from Germany because the airlines will not transport them… don´t know about GB at the moment, got some 18650s a few months ago.

I recently rcv'd a bunch of LK 5000's from China so haven't had problems.

Also I got a ton of SRK's and other lights here, and sent out a set of 30Q BT's with proto #3 to J-Dub74, so supplies need replenishing... Also I'l be probably providing cells with a couple of Q8's, so no waste there.

The BT's I use only for "official" tests and give-aways/sell-for-cost to those that can't solder . For me, of course, I'd solder blob and save the money.

Ohhh - rcv'd the eBay Molle II smoke grenade pouch today from a seller in N. Carolina - $7.50 shipped. It's superb quality, exc new condition, but the pocket is bout 1/2" shorter than my other one -- but that one I paid $15 for back in March 2014. The light fits ok after unfolding the pocket, the flap over covers fully, but a bit more of the side of the light is exposed - should take pics. On the Q8 prototype, the switch is about covered by the side material on the new one. On the old one, it goes up to the base of the smooth ring at the head, what the engraving is on. Still a good deal, but I emailed the seller because it doesn't match the dimensions and pictures in his listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Smoke-Grenade-Pouch-MOLLE-II-Coyote-Brown-Magazine. Wouldn't you know as I'm typing this, the seller calls me, at home! We had a nice conversation actually, so he's gonna check into it.

I think I'd still recommend this pouch as-is, because from several others I've tried (shown in pics earlier), these 2 are the best quality by far - they both are real, true surplus - heavy material double stitching and lots of it, etc. Others I've gotten for like 3 for $20 or 2 for $10, were no where near the quality.

Bad news though its US only.

Does the Q8 need button top batteries?

Still thinking what it would cost to buy the Q8, since i would need a good four bay charger as well as 4 new 30Q’s or equivalent which will double the price of the investment

Can anyone recommend a good charger? I like the looks of the Xtar, but that won’t charge 4 cells simultaneously at more then 500mA

I use 2 @ Xtar VC2 Plus Masters
They will charge all bays at 1 amp etc, provided you have ample power supply. For this I use an Allmaybe 6 port usb charger (CU6) that will deliver 2.4 amps per port.($20 on amazon)

Illumn currently has the Xtar VC2 Plus on sale 12.99 us. Not sure about shipping to you.

Regarding a charger, i’ve used two Opus BTC-3100 for more then a year with no issues. The nice thing over the Lii 500 is it can do 2A on the two left and right slots - and 1A on the middle two. Quite convenient for 26650s. Noisy fan but still working - I have a couple spares (fans) just in case though.

I just ordered 4 BT 30Qs from BG for 21.13 euros.

Sorry to hear battery shipping to Germany is a problem right now… I’ve have quite a few cells on the way from GB, FT and BG… Last time it went well. I received some Sanyo UR14500 from FT a few weeks ago. Hope it’ll go through again.

@Yokiamy …… The OPUS BT C3100 V2.2 is a good charger. But if you decide to go that route you should go HERE and do some reading first.

The shipment of batteries in Fasttech is quite restricted. They do not use many companies to send batteries. Luckily, at least for Spain, they use Sweden Post, and shipping only costs $ 2.05, this morning I ordered 8 Samsung 30Q Button top for a total price of 35.85 $

It’s basic ohms law.
12volt and 2Amp
9V and 3A
6v and 4A
4.2v and 5.7A (more than the 4A needed)
3v and 8A
1.5v and 16A

All the same power, 24 watts.
