REVIEW IMALENT DX80 COMPLETE.

There were also issues with the driver. There was a re-release a coupe of months ago. The new version has a black tailcap instead of blue.

darn , the picture on my GB order page has a blue one

There probably were a whole bunch of iterations, so because you have a version with the older blue tailcap does not mean there was no re-design of the driver; these things you usually don’t know as an end consumer I think.

ok thanks , and FYI :

What else did you expect?

honestly LOL

Though I would not expect to have an answer like “yes, it’s faulty, please throw it away” I would also not expect an answer at all - please keep in mind that the Chinese New Year Parties are about to start.

Regarding your question:

Do not be preoccupied - be sure to receive a perfectly working flashlight.

Every producer does changes and improvements in production all the time - the only point in this case is that they are visible because of

- the new box

  • the new black tail

From my point of view the new box was no improvement - I needed a guide dog to get to my new flashlight. the new tail just has the advantage to mount a lanyard (which I do not use)…

By the way: what kind of picture did you see at GB? They still have the old one on their Homepage but the one they shipped to me on the 1st of December already had the new design…

thanks WW

Yip - exactly the same.

And I do not expect them to ever change it…

WW are you happy with the way yours performs ?

We have actually 5 of these flaslights in use.

I wouldn’t buy them on and on if the users would not be happy.

The combination of the holster, the battery, the USB charging, the two buttons and the light levels suit us very well…

And while I expect the question, I buy them “on and on” because we loose or destroy them from time to time… better don’t ask…

:rage:

cool thanks

now begins the wait for delivery GRRR

oh i must say you all are very kind and helpful to the noobs - not like the superior attitude i got in CPF

someone even said im an idiot for asking a legit Q

Found this neat battery innards pic from the dx 80 with its battery balancer and protection circuit.

It’s not showing up. Attachments from TLF never seem to work. Do you have a link to the post?

Try this:

But I do not know if you can see it now or if it is just visible with a TLF-account…

Yes, as thread attachment it is not visible for non TLF Members. Thats why I mosly use galeries In the TLF where I can can allow access for non members.

For all who did not see the picture, thats an 4S BMS with contact to each 2P Group of the batteries.

Thats the same picture, uploaded in this thread, which is not visible for non members.
Open an other Browser where you are not logged in to TLF and you will see the thread without pics.

There is no browser in this house which is not logged in to TLF…

:sunglasses:

But we can ask the owner of the picture (Manfred) if he would allow us to share it here.

In the runtime chart comparing turbo, high, and midhi… is the midhi representative of 3hrs 9min, or is it 2hrs 9min?

The 3h 9m has to be a typo. The chart is correct in 129 minutes.

Its 3 h 9 min - high already has 2 h 10 min.

Correction:

You are right - the error is already in high and comes from the manual which does not fit.
