Did you check 17track? The two battery orders that were returned to FT showed “returning to sender through acceptance office” followed by “returned to sender.”
I would open a ticket if you see either of those, that way you will probably get a refund faster.
In some ways it might be a good thing. It might let them get back to a higher level and faster service if they weren’t swamped with the returned packages and CS required. Since they’re having so many issues at least we stand a better chance of getting the other things they carry this way.
KD can ship batteries
Lightake, DX, Cnqualitygoods, Wallbuys, Banggood also can this.
Fasttech, come on, find a way to ship batteries! We love your prices :8)
If it solves the postal crisis that FastTech seem to still having then good on them, maybe they’ve seen a way out and taken it.
I bet it removes a lot of stress from customer service and lets them get back to helping customers.
There will always besomeone willing to buy in bulk and sell on ebay or Amazon.
I’ve bought about 24 batteries from them and they were a good cheap price but not so cheap that it will affect me much by not being able to buy from them.
EMS indeed accept battery shipment provided that necessary manufacturing documentations and safety certificates are provided. However, their documentation requirements are becoming stricter and more complicated lately.
We are now pressing our supplier to provide us the additional documentations that EMS requires. However, I regret to say that it may take days or weeks for these documents to be prepared.
To keep you from waiting, we’d be happy to send you an instant full refund. If you prefer a refund, please simply reply and let us know, and we will have it done for you right away.
Thank you.”
That’s what I got in response to my ticket of “why has my order been stuck in packaging for a week?”. They can’t even ship the 5 miles between Shenzhen and HK anymore.
I ended up getting a refund, but not until after they pulled the “are you sure you wouldn’t prefer store credit?” route.
I’ve spent (for me, at least) a fair amount of money with them, and I honestly don’t think I’m going back.
Yeah, I think I’m done with FastTech too, after having been quite vocal in believing ‘it wasn’t their fault’.
My battery order was returned-to-sender as well, but they arbitrarily issued a gift certificate instead of a rebate. That didn’t sit well with me, but I thought ‘oh, what the hell…I’ll order that D40a that they quoted a sub-Manufacturers price on’. Guess what. They didn’t honour the quoted price either (which entailed a rebate after paying the full price) and now don’t respond to my ticket enquiries.
They’re up twenty bucks on me. Fortunately I can afford it, and it won’t cause me any difficulty other than the disappointment of knowing that I’ve been dealing with dishonourable people. Its puzzling to me to see the extremely low value they place on their customers.
It too bad, because they were well on their way to being the leading marketer in their field. I don’t know what brought about the implosion but I’m choosing to no longer have anything to do with them.
So I suppose the opportunity remains for a Chinese marketer who is truly honourable and gives good prices and fast service to do very well in foreign markets. I’m personally going to give much more of my business to International Outdoors - while their prices have never been the lowest, their quality and service has always, so far, been exemplary. I hope it stays that way. Confidence in a business relationship is worth a couple of bucks extra to me.
These prices are not so super low compared to the normal price with free shipping we could get before the debacle or we still can get from other sellers.
What about 18500 and nice batteries this are the ones which are not available from other vendors?
I am patient and can wait until they start shipping again.
I don’t use lithium cells anyway but I probably put some in Christmas flashlights, sk68 with aa lithium primary will make a perfect light for a normal guy with runtime of 2h+…
