Firelight2, Thanks for the detailed walk through. I wish I would see this when I tried to take mine out the first time. Going to give this a shot for sure.
After tearing down my D4 several times I managed to break the membrane switch. Got it half way stuck back together. Now it will only turn on if pressed with thumbnail in the perfect spot.
Ordered a replacement. But now I have some time to come up with a better solution.
A thicker bezel would be ideal, but I am no machinist.
I cut the nub off the switch boot, I think that was working somewhat.
I modded the UI to allow e-lockout momentary to memorized level.
The DW3R1 will be my EDC. Or ELSE.
