Hi all,

I like this light so much that I already ordered six in total, in different colors: they make nice gifts.

My only complaint is that, except for the non-ano version, the head is a bit too easy to turn, hence making me fear either unwanted activation or head loss, all the more so as there is very little clearance between "off" and "o-ring exposed".

I don't think there is room for a thicker o-ring, maybe a very thick lube would do?

I like the nice floody beam for indoor distances

these are Ti3 lights, with pebble and reflector

it is nice to have different Tir options

Are there any more coming into stock soon with “BLF” engraved?

Is it just the unanodised version that has “BLF” engraved on it (as opposed to “Sofirn”)?

The original no-ano run had “BLF” printed on it, while the later had “Sofirn” printed on it. I’m fairly sure the BLF print wasn’t, and won’t be continued

Yes, and the later no-ano version was sandblasted, so the BLF edition remains unique. Or is the sandblasted version unique? I’ve read that this finishing was done by accident, not ordered by Sofirn.

I need some guidance. My son still hasn’t learned to check the pockets before putting clothes in the washing machine, and one of my C01Ss took a bath. Now it will only come on on Low. I opened it up and cleaned the contacts, and put in a fresh EBL NiMH cell, but no change. Is there anything I can try to see if I can get the High mode back?

I just tested it again, doing several twist-on, twist-off cycles. It did come on on High once out of a half dozen attempts, which says to me that it might just be moisture causing the problem. I am going to take the head completely off and the cell out and leave it overnight to see if it makes any difference.

Put it a bag of rice like people do with wet cellphones, it will pull moisture. you can use an pair of stockings to hold the rice and put both in gallon zip lock for a few days.

What are the changes / improvement (?) of Sofirn C01S from its predecessor C01? The latter is only about US$6, whereas the former is now selling for about US$9 in Sinigapore’s Shopee and Lazada websites.

They are two completely different flashlights.

The C01 is a low power flashlight with 5 mm LED without lens or reflector and a single mode.

The C01S is a high(er) power flashlight, SMD LED, TIR lens, and two to three modes.

Do c01s already have three mode? I thought only c01r got 3 mode.

c01 is one mode, 3200k High CRI 5mm LED, 7 lumen single mode
c01s is two mode low high, no memory, 4000k sst-20
c01r is 3 mode red 660nm

afaik c01 series is discontinued… buy what there is, dont expect another batch…

Those are the right size. The strength and quality of the neodymium magnets can vary a good bit from my experience with them.

There is a 5×5 size would that have more sticking power even with the same surface area for sticking?

If you don’t mind that it protrudes about 2mm past the end of the slot of the CO1S

Edit - I would stick with the 5×3mm, even the weak ones had just enough strength to hold the CO1S on a vertical surface.
