I think Ithe idea that it’s easier to turn the dial on a headlamp than to find and press buttons has been long overdue. I hope it catches on.

On HS43, is the indent for Off any deeper than other indents? i.e. Is it more difficult to turn the dial from Off to On then between the output levels?

It won’t stick, it’s not convenient for the L flashlight, it becomes non-universal

So close, yet so far away… :-)

Yea, e-switch is bad. Reject progress and go back to monkey.

All positions feel the same; I have an impression that it could get turned On when „rubbed” in some tightly packed storage. And you cannot lock it…

If the dial could be pushed in at Off position to lock it, that would be sweet. I recall some cameras and scientific gear have been using this for ages to lock dials.

Tried turning the dial on different surfaces. Didn’t get it tot turn on fabric, except i used more far force than possible in any pocket.
Could get it to turn on (faux) leather and rubber, but still needed a good amount of force to overcome the detent. If you don’t fully turn it to the next detent, it’s most likely to snap back.

Although i would prefer beeing able to lock it, i think it’s very unlikely to fire up in your pocket - not impossible though.

Sure wish they had an option for ~4500K emitters.

I love rotary switches, they work way better when in heavy gloves above 10000 feet/ 3000M in the snow while carrying a litter with an injured person to a helicopter evac area. Maybe I’m a bit overboard with my preferences but hey, maybe if the dozen of us who won’t buy crappy emitters beat the dead horse enough…
