Sofirn SP10 Pro (AA/14500/Andúril 2) - now available!

Most strong is 801 but i think in some case is too much

When you go off-topic I need popcorn and a sofa and I want read your post for hours

Got mine yesterday! Walked around with it earlier if anyone wants to watch while still waiting for theirs

Nice Video, thanks!

Mine is still in China.

Good video, it is good for walking indeed.

Curious if anyone would know max amperage draw ie; on turbo (for Li-ion) on the production driver. Contemplating which cell would be best to run in this. I have H10 or Vapcell Gold 3A. I don’t think my Keeppower 4A will work right due to the protection circuit.

I don’t have the SP10 Pro yet, but on my SP10 V3 I measure around 4.25 A with the supplied battery.

Mine is supposedly in the US. Depending on which tracking I look at it’s either still at or has departed from a distribution center in GA. The tracking hasn’t updated since 3/30.

If anyone else ordered from AE and their tracking page doesn’t show any updates, paste the tracking number into aftership or 17track. For some reason AE’s page still says tracking unavailable.

My AliExpress one showed up today. Just the one tailcap, no additional magnetic one. However I ordered it with a battery so it came with battery, cheap single battery charger and a micro USB cable for the cheap charger. It seems to perform identically to the one that came from SofirnLight.com but I’ve not put either to exhaustive tests.

I have not really followed this development but I did buy one (is one allowed that? :innocent: ), and it just came in. I’m pretty amazed actually, mine does 300 lumen @ 30 seconds on an Eneloop :open_mouth: . I have never seen 300 lumen of 90CRI on a NiMh before. And Anduril on an Eneloop light is also pretty special. The tint is what you expect from a 5000K LH351D: pretty ok, 90-94 CRI depending on the current, a bit above the BBL. It will likely get an emitter swap at some point, and likely 519A.

Thanks all and Lux-P and gchart and Sofirn for the perseverence getting this light done :+1:

Great, djozz!

Unrelated… something that came up on r/flashlight that I’ll quote here in case any are interested:

The, recently discontinued, ZL SC5c is rated at 475Lm on a NiMH.

I never had a Zebralight, I’m used to 200 lumen max on an Eneloop.
I guess the ZL SC5c is not 90CRI btw, this SP10 pro may get that number on a 70CRI led.

The SC5c II used a XP-L2 90CRI but ZL tends to overestimate the output of their lights, especially AAs.

(In ZL nomenclature ”c” and ”d” mean ~4000K and ~5000K high CRI)

is this one coming to their Amazon store?

Damn this light looks nice.

I might even get rid of the SP10 V2.0 I have in place of this.

The only thing to wish for is a switch that does not fire in my pocket. It makes this light for me not very suitable for pocket-EDC. It does help a bit that this one operates on an Eneloop: a chemistry without thermal runaway and the power draw is limited, so the worst thing happening is that the battery drains in my pocket.

It’s not a perfect solution, but setting up Auto Lock at 1 minute helps

I must read into Anduril2 (another thread I have not followed :person_facepalming: ), autolock sounds like a nice feature
