Got back from a holiday, and as I pulled off the highway and headed towards home, I stopped at the mailbox and as soon as I saw the name Erik I grinned ear to ear.
Rushed home unpacked as fast as I could (without scairing the baby)
Then went to my drawer and got a fresh 18650 for this beauty.
Nice beam pattern, better than the Thrunite 1C I used to have. The modes are nicely spaced too. Thanks for offering these, without the disco modes Erik :slight_smile:

I want to share how I modded the solarforce clip on mine, besides dremeling away the lanyard hole on the back, I reshaped the tip of the clip to be more pocket friendly, I cut off about 1/4 inch and rounded it a bit.

I know I’m probably too late, but I too would love a 3.5amp UF 2100 as close to neutral as possible (no green please, probably OP reflector, 2-5lumen moonlight).

If that can’t happen any more I vote that you PLEASE do the exact same setup for the TrustFire A8 26650 version! PLEASE! I beg of you :slight_smile: I love the 26650 battery! Pushing 3.5 amps off a 26650 would be sweeeeeet!

A few of my friend have it, and it is amazing! Super long run times, very bright, doesn’t get hot at all. I think it would be a very good candidate for the 3.5amp “upgrade”! Especially needs a “low low” mode, because on low, it’s still WAY too bright for use in the house at night :frowning: And it’s got no memory, so always starts on high!!! Would be better if it went LOW-MED-HIGH but when it starts on high, omg :frowning:

And I’m not sure how familiar you guys are with ordering from alibaba/aliexpress, but it’s super safe. The buyer I linked above supports their Escrow service which means Aliexpress holds the money until we receive the products and are 100% happy and everything is tested, etc. Any defective products, the price is refunded back to us from the escrow or if the supplier ships a replacement then they only forward over the “good product” balance to them and hold the extra until we receive replacements and are happy with those, etc.

I’ve ordered a ton from there, and never ever once had an issue. Because of the public feedback system on there, suppliers are usually super fast to ship, and quick to answer questions or solve problems.

The Bad News:
It’s not $27.29 for 6 because they add DHL shipping of $53.60.
The Good News:

  1. I’m in a chat with the Aliexpress seller to see if I can negotiate with them.
  2. I’m also in communication with HK equipment to see if I can work them down a little.
  3. I am willing to front the money to have 6 (or more) of these sent directly to Erik so that he can do his magic and send them to the individual buyers.
    ANYBODY INTERESTED? (After checking with Erik, I think we should post this as a separate thread.)

HJE equipment has them for $27.

It’s a really cool light, so far Benkie is the only one who has modded one and experienced flickering so I am not even sure it moddable with the drivers I use.

$27 is just for the light (descent deal at that), it’s $47 from them for the entire kit (battery, charger, holster, gift box). We can get the entire kit for $38 for less elsewhere :slight_smile:

EDIT: WOW!!! Just got a quote of $20.65 for just the light, right from TrustFire (including EXPRESS shipping by FedEx!!). I’ll ask them for a quote with China Snail Mail and also if they have the entire kit available!

It cost me $8bucks to ship a light and a couple batteries USPS across the US last time so I would rather stick just to the light to keep the shipping cost down or whatever we save in the price of the light will be lost in shipping after I reship it.

Makes sense, but I figured some/most people might not have 26650 batteries yet (or a charger for them). Maybe we can do half and half and people can choose what they need :smiley:
