I got this x65 mini in April of 2021. Then I sent it to get modified. At that point the total was around $450.
In April of 2025 one of the LEDs went out. I sent it to the guy who modified it. He sends it back. Less than 5 minutes and led was out again. I sent it back. When I got it again same thing LED was out again! The warranty was done 3 years prior.
I spent almost $100 shipping that back and forth three times!
He had the audacity to say to me you must have had the wrong batteries in there! I didn’t say this but I should have. No you can’t even fix your own light.
I Have used the same Battery types for 4 years…VTC5D Solder blob and Molicel P28A BT
So that’s the status of the light someone needs experience .it’s a nice light when it works! I’m sure some of you guys who have the skill and talent to modify these lights , could put a new driver in figure out what’s wrong.
It is 10,000 lumens and 550 kcd. The lights still works but one of the LEDs are out.

I always do too much at once. I was walking and I screwed that up. Realize that it’s going to have Mouse ears cuz there’s five LEDs and shallow reflectors. Also any beam shot I’ve taken looks much brighter in person. In addition did you read my whole thread? You need to know how to change his driver possibly the led. Unless you want to buy with 4 LEDs in it and use it that way!
awesome, so in theory the buck driver could be modded to output a lower voltage? like i could install 6V or even 3V LEDs?
im thinking of doing a red thrower build
