Stainless AAA XP-E2 twistie at Convoy's store

I have never seen that quick reply thing your using here and you have got me lost all over the place here, so I’m reposting the stuff here, geez… should have stayed in bed today I think

Hold on
OK looking at your piece it looks like some kind of solder, so I tried to pull mine out by fingers and it didn’t just come out, so I don’t know if there’s a hole under that post or not but my picture should give you an idea where it should go, now if you have a solder iron you could do a quick heat it up and set it back in place but easier said than done I bet,
Did you see my other picture showing you how to get the driver assembly out, remove bezel, and the get the reflector and driver out so you can get at what this picture is on the inside of the battery tube…

Man I am an idiot, waste all this time trying to help dude out and the guy takes off… got to be kidding me…

No waste at all T18
Very informative and the smily finger and cat make it a true internet sensation, ticking lots of boxes

Thank you The Miller, you are the best, always so nice to me and always a pleasant word, I do appreciate you for sure, Thank You Friend…!!

Hey T18, i see you have both the AAA lights from DITO, and so do i.
The one with the bigger head is really quite dim and blue tinted, the smaller one (same as Convoy) is better.
How are yours?

The led i soldered on the driver and the hole board is glued down. Just bend it up.

Jerommel, mine are the same. I am pretty sure they all have the exact same driver including the AA version, but the tint is different.

The tint of the larger one is horrible.

By the way, it’s XP-G2 in there, the topic title says XP-E2

Hi Jerommel which light are you asking about, the AA - SS…?
Like this one here, ” A Dito”:https://www.aliexpress.com/item/DITO-Mini-Shake-FlashLight-Stainless-Steel-Super-Light-2A-LED-Torches-Portable-Pocket-LED-Flashlights-Outdoor/32687324963.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.0.vhM2TU if so ya it’s really dull or no kind of output if that’s what your meaning with a AA eneloop or down those lines of cells, so I gave it some horse power and dropped in a 14500 and then it got fairly bright but also heats up rather quickly, basically it’s a really cool looking light, as is all of the lights they used to make,
But also all of those SS lights are mostly useless, unless you mod them, and then they would still probably be just as useless and would have been a practicing project or a for fun build because unless someone knows how to control the heat in these they become nothing more than a nice looking modded finger burner big time fast… ha ha, I really love the looks of all their lights so I bought them just because they look neat but other than that it might explain why I think they went under or out of business last I knew…?? So the moral of the story is, if you really love the Dito brand I have a bunch of lights I’ll sell you, now that the look perty has worn off and they are just sitting quietly in their box, useless…

Who needs 90 lumens?

why not? If I bring only one light, I prefer a brighter one.
its gonna be like i3E IOS, or better if it has low-high modes.

I carry mine on house keys with Knife and 1941 penny.

I’d say the reason for 60 only. was just a little bit of sensibility on MFG’s side.
I’ve just run it for over 20 min’s on a fully charged 10440.
and it only warm to hand. And covers light needed for close work in car etc.
The 90 would cook your fingers methink’s.

I have Astrolux AO1 on car keys. that’s 105ish.
There’s more output in that one if I ever need it hey.
Plus a 9 led, 4 x cell Skyray in glove box.

I have my name engraved on all my keepers. These are.

Sorry to bring back an old thread. But Google brings it up when searching.

Does anyone know if the AAA light from Convoy supports Li-ion?

Thanks.
