Sub-AAA (1/2 AAA, 1/3 AAA etc.) all chemistries

After seeing the new CQG S3 which uses 1/2 AAA 1.2V cell I started looking for other specialist sizes (updated with different chemistries).

Ni-MH

Conrad sell quite a range, mostly Emmerich:

Microbattery sell a range of GP:

In the UK there is Batteries Plus:

JLS Batteries sell a selection of GP, Infapower and Sanik (2/3 AAA):

Component Shop sell Vapex separately and in packs (will need to desolder them):

Li-ion

Lighthound has some info on li-ion sizes (approximate) for reference:
10180 battery - 10mm x 18mm (1/3 AAA size)
10280 battery - 10mm x 28mm (1/2 AAA size)
14250 battery - 14mm x 25mm (1/2 AA size)
14500 battery - 14mm x 50mm (AA size)

GP make some li-ion too, see this catalog for part numbers:

CN Quality Goods have 10180 cells for the DQG Spy:

Lithium primaries

Small Battery have these:
ER10250 1/2 AAA Lithium Thionyl Chloride battery 3.6 V

Nkon carry two brands of 1/2 AAA primary, Tadiran and Saft:

Any other notable brands and stores?

I have some Old-Lumens mini-mags that I use three or four 3/4 AAs in.

Some interesting sizes. The capacities seem ok but at only .2C discharge. I wonder what draw they can sustain.

Max draw is hit and miss on small cells. They are generally rated really low and some have been proven to tollerate upwards of 5x their c rating, but again it’s hit and miss. Discharge curve is the only way to know for sure.

Im looking at some small Lithiums and it can be overwhelming……

I’d like to do a solitaire with a 10180 but even 350mA would run it down too quickly so it would probably have an lm317 (sot223) and resistor set to ~100mA.

My 3x 1/3AA battery, made by GP.
Used in a SK68, more light with NiMH.

fyesilova, are those GP 1/3 AA cells Li-ion or Ni-MH? I wonder if it is detrimental to the brightness on AA after using 14500. How are you charging them?
