From THIS thread:
Looks interesting at least.
sold out
I just bought some
Extremely good deal on those Panasonic NCR18650A.
is it OKay to talk about this battery in this topic? or should we make a new one..
anyway, my question is short: are Panasonic NC 18650 and NCR 18650 the same?
or was that a typo?
To not get too much off topic, I just opened a new thread.in Deal Alerts.. Here
Thanks edc for your findings!!!!!

Footnote: PCB removed after it failed (and I don't have the other cell of the pair anymore)
The batteries above are about 8 months old, but have seen little use. The 14500 has a different label than the cell reported on in the first line of the database.

Typo.
However NCR18650 is one battery and NCR18650A is another battery.
Please add:
Trustfire 3000 mAh "Flames" - 2494 mAh @ 1A, down to 3.0V; 2445 mAh @ 2.8A, down to 3.0V

Why are the first 25 or so links (in the "Battery" column) towards the top of the list of the battery pointing to budgetlightforum.cz.cc ???
Why are the first 25 or so links (in the "Battery" column) towards the top of the list of the battery pointing to budgetlightforum.cz.cc ???
Because that was before going .com [ budgetlightforum ] + 4 more weeks of school [ something like that ] to complete my Cert 4 in IT
But thanks for mentioning it , I will fix it as time permits ..
Reminder to self - fix links in DB !
Yeah, I thought I had a virus LoL. Every time I clicked on a link I was getting redirected to some random stupid ad site. After doing a full scan twice, I went back and realized half the URLs were just different.
hi, i use a cheap charger (ultrafire wf-188) and cant measure voltages, sorry. but i've got a high quality digital sliding caliper so here are my length measurements:
XTAR 18700 2600mAh (average size: L x D: 69.7 x 18.5 mm)
cell1 L x D: 69.59 x 18.48 mm
cell2 L x D: 69.67 x 18.43 mm
here are my weight measurements ( i dont know which one was cell1 vs cell2 ):
cell1 : 48.231 grams
cell2 : 48.031 grams
There is a weight difference of (~exact) 200 miligrams. *yawn* not very interesting info, i know
and finally the capacities:
Discharge test runs in genuine Imax B6 at -0.2A discharge rate from 4.200+V (UT61E) down to the B6-standard "3.00V" termination limit:
test run #1 (tested: cell#1): 2501mAh, remaining resting voltage 3.281V recovered after 2 hours
test run #2 (tested: cell#2): 2515mAh, remaining resting voltage 3.390V recovered after 2 hours
Notes:
TrustFire 14500 900mAh (average size: L x D: 51.1 x 14.0 mm)
cell1 L x D: 51.13 x 13.98 mm
cell2 L x D: 50.98 x 14.01 mm
(in comparison, cheap AA Alkaline are 50.3 x 14.0 mm; this means that the flamed Protected TrustFire 14500's are 0.8mm longer than standard AA Alkaline.)
Trustfire Flames mAh test
Discharged to 3 volt and charged @ 0.5 amp
Cell A
Cell B
End voltage is a bit low on the last as its sat on the charger all day waiting for me to come home from work befor the last picture was taken.

Lidl special AA LSD. Discharged on an Angeleyes charger - I don't own a C9000.
Nominally 2100mAh. First full cycle. Noticed that they got alarmingly hot at a 528mA discharge which is not a good sign. Also I doubt their LSDness - they certainly aren't up to the standards of the GP Recycos I have or the Eneloops. Still too hot to comfortably touch after around 1750mAh discharge.
Cell | Capacity mAh |
1 | 1870 |
2 | 2056 |
3 | 2011 |
4 | 1856 |
Just as well they were cheap because they don't look very good. I'll rest them and recharge them then test one at a time for a few weeks to see how they hold their charge. From the heat from them on a 500mA discharge (Eneloops will do 8 amps) I doubt they'd be good in a high-drain application.
i own " BTY Ni-MH 1000, Rechargeable AAA 1.2V " and it says " Charge Methods: Standard Charge: 15hrs at 100mA, Quick Charge: 4.5hrs at 300mA ".
They're in my house phone and all i can say is: my brand name (VARTA) AAA 1.2V rechargeables last 4 times as long as the BTY. And they also get quite warm (in the house phone or in flashlights). Not recommended.
i bought them thru ebay.
BTY cells are junk which is best avoided.
Lidl Tronic cells are little better.
