Could someone explain to a layman exactly what this item does? I stumbled across this thread, and now I’m curious what people would use this for. Thanks.
Lab power supply. I used it here to measure a Wurkkos HD10 without battery to see how it behaves with stable and regulated input voltage. So I could measure brightness at various simulated battery voltage levels.
Since lab PSUs are constant current capable too you can use them to directly drive LEDs for testing, without any LED drivers, or supply other electronic things etc.

It is an adjustable power supply. I use it for my LED-Tests. I have the RD6024 for these, which is very similar to this RD6030 shown here.
