The smallests AA flashlights please...

I have to 2nd the DQG AA. With your criteria being the smallest in length and thickness it’s really the only option as it is the smallest made.

It should sell for $25 or less IIRC.

My first thought. DQG Tiny aa.

I like it! Anyone know the length of thie DQG and the expected OTF lumens on L,M,H?

DQG AA or Zebra, I would say.

If much more than 100lumen with some runtime is needed, I would skip the AA-format.

Zebra does 200 but then again, if you cycle H1 and H2 yet need some runtime, I bet many of us choose H2 and 100lumen...

Zebra has enough modes, thats a plus but far from budget.

On threads #1 post it says 0,3A on AA and on sales thread it says 0,5A.

I hope it is not too much overdriven, output like on AAA version without any heat issues and great efficiency would be just great for me.

Specs be found here:

The tiny II AAA has 60 lumens at 210 mA with an R3, so I would expect the AA be in the 130-140 Lumen range on high. They seem to measure emitter amps.

Thanks guys. That thing is impressive...I want it.

Nitecore D10 is small, and will use nimh or liths.
Nitecore EZ AA the one I got from Boaz is one of my favorite and most useful lights.
He is describing the Nitecore, look around it is reasonably priced and 160 lumens. The cheapest that you will find it is the day after thanksgiving.

Or you can get the OEM here for $23.95 http://www.intl-outdoor.com/worlds-smallest-aa-xrer2-led-flashlight-p-227.html

See coolperl's review.

The D25A looks really cool to me as long as we're mentioning Quarks and ZL. The clip and holster really put it near the top of my wishlists, though I'm wanting the D25C version.

The OEM one is a XRE the real Nitecore has an XPG, big difference.

Just pick which you want XRE for throw, XPG for flood.

The OP wanted throw, the XR-E R2 it's with the EZ900 die on that OEM.

The Fenix LD15 = 117 / 8 lumens (117 Fenix lumens = about the same as 200 DX lumens...), is very small for a AA light, and it has a twist switch.

But just like most small flashlights it is not a real thrower.

If you want a much smaller flashlight, i can recommend the Tank 007 E09, twist switch, three mode AAA, very good build quality, the same maximum brightness as Fenix LD01 (Q5 led).

The Tank 007 E09 is much cheaper than a Fenix LD01, and it seems to be just as good.

Yes, I like that Fenix, but it is expensive

About the tank e09. Again, I like it... but... is AAA instead of AA

However... thanks

DQG AA NW is up but costs $38... not so budget any more.

Thanks for the info. Yes, too too too expensive.

+1

Can we still expect the second batch of BLF S2s or has this replaced them?
