Hello,
thanks to this forum (which I have been following for a long time, even though I have only just started writing), and to your advice, I decided to buy two Emisar flashlights, the V1S for the launch and the D4 of course for the flood.
I ask you: do the two online stores (MTN and Int-Outdoor) sell torches with the same characteristics? I explain better: for example for the D4, Int-Outdoor in the description writes “Noctigon 4XP V2 used for better beam pattern,” while on MTN there is no mention of this. Is this a modification only of Int-Outdoor, or do the torches of MTN have this too?
Welcome to BLF!
I do not know if Mtn has D4’s with the improved board yet, but considering your location (italy), intl-outdoor with free shipping seems a better choice anyway
My guess is that they were just fooling around with the ano and these will not come for sale.
I guess that coloured anodised D4’s if at all they come for sale, will have a clear coating because titanium ano wears off easily?
They tend to offer exactly the same, except that when there’s version change it doesn’t arrive to both stores at the same time. AFAIK so far intl-outdoor has always been the 1st to receive updates.
Yeah, it sounds like a very cool light to try, but it does get rather expensive when you get it with the options you want.
I ordered a Zebralight SC600w MkIV HI, instead, as it’s not that much more expensive. They also just came out with a MkIV Plus, for more output but a floody beam. They’re not as high output as the D4, but should run on max for quite a bit longer, and have a really nice UI.
I might pick up a D4 sometime, but will wait for the price to come down closer to budget levels.
They don’t have the weight listed yet. The Titanium body will be moderately heavier than the Aluminum one, but the Copper head will likely be significantly heavier.
