TK's Emisar D4 review

Hello,
thanks to this forum (which I have been following for a long time, even though I have only just started writing), and to your advice, I decided to buy two Emisar flashlights, the V1S for the launch and the D4 of course for the flood.

I ask you: do the two online stores (MTN and Int-Outdoor) sell torches with the same characteristics? I explain better: for example for the D4, Int-Outdoor in the description writes “Noctigon 4XP V2 used for better beam pattern,” while on MTN there is no mention of this. Is this a modification only of Int-Outdoor, or do the torches of MTN have this too?

Thank you all!

where is possible to buy this silver version??

OMG OMG OMG so sexy looking!!! where are they to be found

Welcome to BLF!
I do not know if Mtn has D4’s with the improved board yet, but considering your location (italy), intl-outdoor with free shipping seems a better choice anyway

My guess is that they were just fooling around with the ano and these will not come for sale.
I guess that coloured anodised D4’s if at all they come for sale, will have a clear coating because titanium ano wears off easily?

They tend to offer exactly the same, except that when there’s version change it doesn’t arrive to both stores at the same time. AFAIK so far intl-outdoor has always been the 1st to receive updates.

FWIW, my XP-L HI 5D ordered from MTN on November 28 came with the offset board.

Thanks guys for your answers, I think I’ll buy from Intl-Outdoor

Edit: I’ve buy from Intl-Outdoor!

Ugh, this light is over $100AUD by the time you add for XPL HI 3A and shipping to Aus :frowning:

Any coupon codes?

Yeah, it sounds like a very cool light to try, but it does get rather expensive when you get it with the options you want.

I ordered a Zebralight SC600w MkIV HI, instead, as it’s not that much more expensive. They also just came out with a MkIV Plus, for more output but a floody beam. They’re not as high output as the D4, but should run on max for quite a bit longer, and have a really nice UI.

I might pick up a D4 sometime, but will wait for the price to come down closer to budget levels.

You can buy them here too:

That’s what i did, but i received a D1S in stead… :person_facepalming:

None the less, i think Neal won’t make that mistake again.

PS: I’ll probably have that D1S for sale soon…
Probably the best option in stead of returning and waiting and more waiting etcetera…

58USD is over 100AUD?

The regular D4 is $40 in XP-G2 or Nichia 90CRI, quite much more cheaper than $90 Zebralight mentioned there.

Speaking of which… Linky

Oh boy.

edit: $79.98 for the raw Titanium + Nichia/XP-G2. $15 for color, and of course$18 for XP-L HI. So a colored XP-L HI model would come to $113.

IT’S NOT A MYTH!!! IT’S TITANIUM!!! YESSS!!! :smiling_imp:

Mountain Electronics seemed to have received a shipment last night.

Wow…they’re gorgeous.

Anyone know the weight of the new Ti versions?
Went to buy the purple one but can’t find the weight on the page

They don’t have the weight listed yet. The Titanium body will be moderately heavier than the Aluminum one, but the Copper head will likely be significantly heavier.

I hope all the parts will Lego with the current ones. My collections is getting kind of large as it is.
