【TS10V3 prototype】Should we continue with the TS10 series~

Did the lower 3000K only come in a copper body? I mean I love the copper and have a 4000K version but a low Kelvin alu version would make good, affordable candle lamps.

Copper is great, but x3 is expensive.

I don’t think it was ever available with an aluminum body.

If you’re able to do emitter swaps, IIRC the Nichia E21A can be swapped in, and it is available in a pretty large range of CCTs from Hank (from intl-outdoor.com, AFAIK it is a special request item)

the 3000K LEDs that came in my Copper TS10 were really disgusting… not recommended… The only other version that came w 3000K was Brass.

Although it IS possible to swap in E21a to a TS10, it is not easy, and by the time we pay for the LEDs and shipping, plus a modding fee, it is cheaper to buy an Emisar D3AA w DeDomed 2700K 519a for $43.

Besides much nicer LED options than TS10, other advantages of the D3AA include, AA compatible, and optional tailmagnet.

The least expensive option might be to use a TS10 or SC13A with an Amber filter of some sort. The advantage of the SC13A is built in charging and tailmagnet. (and it costs even less than a TS10). fwiw, both the TS10 and SC13A use the same driver…

Good thinking, I’m not up for modding, or the costs of the LEDs. I’m thinking a couple of discs of yellow filter with a diffuser on top could be a versatile option.

Boaz sells a minus-CCT orange filter, should work great for that.

Sounds perfect, I looked it up and found pics on Reddit, great option, thanks :+1:

Get something new ,Is this series going to continue?

21700 with quad LED?
Can’t really tell the number of LEDs

Please focus on LED quality. The TS10 v1 had an excellent tint (rosy, negative DUV). Later batches of the TS10 v2 used noticeably worse LEDs (positive DUV, greenish tint, and prone to burning out - you had to limit the output to 50%), which is why they lost a lot of their popularity.

Okay, i think that is a TS10V3, although the change is not significant, update to buck driver~
What kind of upgrades can we expect more?

11 Thanks
  1. buck driver
  2. better LEDs below BBL like either 519A, FFL351A, or NTG35. Ideally 3535 LEDs for easy modding of existing MCPCB.
  3. NO THREADLOCK so we can mod the LEDs if we wish without having to risk destroying the light with pliers or strap wrenches to remove bezel

… and I would be instantly sold. It would then be a real competitor with the KR1AA and D3AA.

Awesome!

Please give it some CCT options for the LEDs like 4200, 4500, or 5000K.

Please use good LEDs (Nichia, Lumenpioneer, Luminus, Cree). SST20, 519A etc.

Optional optics so we can swap them for beam patterns, or make the MCPCB accept Carclo 105xxx pattern optics

No glue please.

Aside from that l, how about make a better version of the Lumintop FW3A!

4000K 519a LEDs with Carclo 10511 Optics please

No Glue on the Bezel please

Buck driver and better binned, not greenish CSP2323 LEDs, or maybe E21A LEDs. The buck driver alone would be a massive improvement, and the old V1 CSP2323 LEDs were good enough. Another change i would do is to have six aux LEDs just like in the HD10.

This is not possible. TS10 needs 17ish mm optics while 105xx is 20mm.
Although small triple optics for dommed 519A does exist (eg in Skilhunt EC150).

Buck driver. Emitter options, I really like the FFL and NTG options but 519a would be great as well. And NO glue! We like to mod lights around these parts.
