Guess what? raccoon city is looking for some feedback again. This time it's about the Uniquefire UF-2100 T6 3-Mode & 5-Mode. ikocuba wrote a nice BLF review for the 1-Mode: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/2557
DinoDirect gave me a coupon for $8.00 off any order. If you have at least 100 quality posts on BLF, you can also get the coupon sometime in the next 8 weeks:
I have budget XM-L fever and want to know (in detail) what type of mode memory the 3-mode and 5-mode have. Also any other info about these multi-mode UF-2100s would be appreciated. Thanks!
As far as I can tell, the UF X1 is made by UltraFire, meanwhile the UF-2100 is made by UniqueFire. Are they the same company? Also, are all the *Fire (except NadzOnFire) made by the same company? I think I've read this before, but I'm not sure...
selling really lousy products .It would appear that REAL ultrafire lights rare 3 steps above junk lights commonly recieved as ultra-fire . Are they from the same factory or parts sourced from other factories ? seconds ? I don't know but clearly when they do it right it works and done wrong they stink. Maybe there are no good x-i's or uf 2100's or fandyfires or yezel z1's..maybe they are all poorly made .
I just noticed some evidence that suggests that the *Fires are probably all related. In ikocuba's review thread, HID45 points out that the UF-2100 looks just like the (XP-G) FandyFire 2100 available at DealExtreme. Unfortunately, for me, the FF 2100 5-Mode on DX has no memory. I don't mind an underdriven XM-L (in a compact body), but I really prefer flashlights with proper memory. Anyone own a multi-mode UF-2100 to confirm?
I'd be the last one ever to suddenly do a 180 and become a DDirect fan boy .but the single mode for 19.70 - the 8 bucks makes it a very attractive 11$ light .. since their prices are generally inflated the higher priced light becomes less of a bargain..Shopping from zero to $30 lights on Diner.direct it was this2100 or the fenixE21 at $32.//$24
had i seen the 3 mode or 5 mode i might have been tempted to go that route ..As is.. I can save the 3 or 4 $ and just get a real driver and be much happier anyway.
Trustfire - Uniquefire - Ultrafire - Fandyfire - Godfire - Saintfire - Did I miss one ? anyhow they are built to spec requested by the Brand seller , who owns the brands ? might be one company ? might be more , dont know .
Many lights are built on the same body - platform to different quality levels and with different internal parts , so judging them all from one sample ?
Also how many factories in china making flashlights ? Id say most of the time , the cheapest bid wins the contract , unless they possibly manufacture there own , or stick to a better contractor [ Solarforce comes to mind ]
Any millionaires here ?
The C8 - C10 - C2 - seem to be very popular bodies , some ones needs to buy one each of the firebrands and compare them ..
Even then , the results may not cross over to other lights .. making it all a bit of a lottery .
I have the 3-mode version (which is supposed to be HML) on the way and I'd be happy to do a mini-review when it gets here. If HKP does their part, it should be here in a week or two.
I couldn't wait any longer, so I just ordered the 3-mode version. It's kinda fun to be a guinea pig. Hope I don't change my mind when the flashlight arrives. ;)
ROFL! I thought it was just a funny name until I realized there was an embedded link. At first I thought maybe it was a Mexican flashlight company but it’s still Chinese. I still have to laugh when I see that name. Too funny!
When Nintendo named their game console the Wii, they did their research. The syllable Wii has a positive meaning in most major languages. The people that thought up Uranusfire didn't do their homework. Maybe in Chinese it doesn't have a negative connotation, but it is a horrible brand name for English-speaking countries. Perhaps the person that thought of Uranusfire is just a big South Park fan?
When I google Coprolight, I get coprolite, which is fossilized animal dung. I obviously like bathroom humor, so that made me laugh. There's a comedian named Daniel Tosh and he has a 2005 comedy album called "True Stories I Made Up." The 9th track on that album is The Coprophagia Diet, which is an interesting way to lose weight...
