UV LED xpg size

any ideas where I can get a led like this : http://www.rapidled.com/violet-uv-led/

similar leds can be find in the flashlights :

You can find it in those lights ;-) ( they are cheap enough to buy them just for the scavenge)

But, to answer your question, I tried to search the internet a few months ago for those and similar chinese uv-leds, and I did find pictures on vague websites, but no direct seller.

Prolight opto, part number PK2N-1LLE, 3.5x3.5mm,xp footprint, much brighter/more efficient than those chinese versions for sure.

nice thanks, I found this website http://www.maritex.com.pl/en/shop/products/29234/ ,they have listed as well the PK2N-3LLE-L any ideas what to choose ? ,forget they charge 10euro for shipping , have you seen them in any online shop i just need 3-4 pieces.

Made in Taiwan. Do you have one of these? More details would be helpful.

Datasheet

No,I don't but they look OK,you can find flux numbers, bins etc. in datasheet, which is very uncommon for generic UV,IR leds.

Most generic UV 400nm-ish leds are in 40-100mW range, this LED is several times more efficient.

I see you are from USA,you could order some of these:

http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/high-powered/prolight-1-watt-ultraviolet-leds-140-degree-viewing-angle/334/

Same manufacturer same die,but different(1W generic) package, and you can choose output and nm bins. 475mW@350mA is one of the highest numbers I've seen for 400nm leds(If I remember, only ledengin makes better UV's but price is much higher).

much much higher price ,to get a good uv led prices start from 30 usd up to 200 and more.

Luxeon UV. 1 ampere maximum drive current. i just have to find a suitable MCPCB

cheapest I’ve found is 13euro ,without shipping at http://eu.mouser.com/Philips-Lumileds/High-Power-LEDs-Single-Color/LUXEON-UV-Series/\_/N-1yyvhk6Z8usfnZ1yxjbj1?
possible pcb for this : Star PCB for Luxeon Rebel - Made for 1 Luxeon REBEL

I have never had any luck finding 365nm UV light or something close as that 380nm at a good price or good shipping. MFM’s UV shoot out thread always makes me want a TK UV. But I’m too cheap.

this might do the trick : This product is no longer available.

410-420nm (op link) is not really a uv, more like violet.

ledengin makes 365nm uv leds, but they are not cheap, like $35 a piece. for samllest one.

Anyone want to host a group buy? $4.50 each from the OP's link, then $7 for USPS shipping on the order... Then packaging... Then shipping to individual buyers. It would end up being $10+/each, might as well buy the built lights and consider it getting a free host in the deal. Frown

On a related note: a four-die version of the same LED!

-the seller i posted above for a sample package of 10 he can do it 2-3 usd each .
-and charge extra $50 for shipping.

Is that the 1w or 3w version? Shipping cost?

-This product is no longer available. ,about shipping i guess will be free, when he reply i will ask him if its 1w or 3w-asked 50$ extra for shipping.

if he can ship to individual addresses i would be up for 3 =)

I think he can , the version above is 1w version

  • I asked him about 3w and waiting for an answer.-
only 1w version is available and yes you can make small orders individual 4-5 pieces each.

edit
alert ,even i asked for a price INCLUDING shipping ,now the seller replyed me and asked $50 for shipping with DHL ,ofcourse declined and waiting for his answer….

Is that the shipping cost for a few leds… or a small pony?

asked for a refund forget the above seller, back to the searching……
