Nice little mod. All those inner and outer hi-lo rings still have me confused.
It makes me want to dig out my box of 10440 lights to see if any of them want some special attention.
Nice upgrade once again !
how do you manage to use an e-switch in the tail of such a tiny host ?
Did you run a wire from tail to head ?
Also, really nice finish of the button !
Thanks mate, should have taken pictures, it’s not an e-switch, just a momentary contact switch.
I removed one pad from the switch board bottom and connected that directly to the light body by soldering on a piece of copper on top of the switch and press fitting it in, the other pad on the switch bottom has a spring soldered on, so pushing the cell towards the head. Just in front of the switch board is a press fit copper ring so when the head is screwed down the battery makes contact but is otherwise kept clear by the spring pressure. Hope that makes sense
These are just stock photos but might help give an idea
Yeah i did consider that but thought i would try it and see how long it lasts, it might need changed to one of my more robust mechanical versions, will report if it goes
