Hey!

What LEDs are in your lamp? Kelvin, CRI and RUV are of interest here.
Can the lamp be opened or is it glued shut?

I have already subscribed to it. The thinness is interesting for me. I will watch and hope to win GAW

Is the GAW for the dual-white model or the white-uv?

Dual White version: 2 x luminus SFT12 6500K
White &UV: luminus SFT25 6500K + luminus SST10-UV 365nm(365~370nm)

If you were the winner, you can decide which one to go.

I’m not a doubting Thomas but I sure hope that this giveaway (unlike others) actually ends with a gift.

PS, I’m not in this one. Though I must confess: nice light!

I liked the concept, and I’ll sign up to be notified when it launches.

But I have a few questions:
On the performance tables for both versions of the flashlight on the Kickstarter page, they show exactly the same performance specs. Is that correct, even with the difference in the number of LEDs?

Do you have any guide for the UI interface?

What driver technology does it use? Buck?

Thank you for your questions. We use different LED for two versions, the max output is the same but not everything as you may notice on the parameter tables. UI is simple.

S2 Dual White light version:
Power On/Off
Click the button to power on and enter the last used brightness level;
In the on state, click the button to power off.

Adjust Brightness Levels
In the on state, press and hold the button to cycle through the brightness levels in the following order: Low Brightness → Medium Brightness → High Brightness. (These three levels are memorized)

Turbo Mode
Double-click the button to enter Turbo mode, and click again to power off. (Not part of the cycle, not memorized)

Strobe Mode
Triple-click the button to enter Strobe mode, and click again to power off. (Not memorized)

One-Key Moonlight Mode
In the off state, press and hold for 1 second to activate Moonlight mode. (Not part of the cycle, not memorized)

Button Lock/Unlock
In the off state, press and hold for 2 seconds to lock the button (the light flashes twice to indicate successful locking);
(In the locked state, clicking the button will cause the light to flash twice, and the green indicator light will flash rapidly, indicating that the button is locked and cannot be turned on)
After the button is locked, press and hold for 2 seconds to unlock the button, and the flashlight will turn on after unlocking.

S2 White&UV version:
Power On/Off
Click the button to power on and enter the memorized brightness level;
In the on state, click the button to power off.

Adjust Brightness Levels
White Light Mode:
In the on state, long-press the button to cycle through brightness levels in the following order: Low Brightness → Medium Brightness → High Brightness → Extreme Brightness. (Memory function enabled)

UV Mode:
In the UV light on state, long-press the button to cycle through output power levels in the following order: UV Low → UV High. (Memory function enabled)

Mode Switching
Double-click the button to switch between UV mode and White Light mode. (Memory function enabled)

Strobe Mode
Triple-click the button to enter strobe mode, and click again to turn off. (No memory function)

One-Key Moonlight Mode
In the off state, long-press for 1 second to activate moonlight mode. (Not part of the cycle, no memory function)
(If the current memory is UV mode, after long-pressing to enter moonlight mode, single-clicking to turn off will not memorize the white light mode;
If, after entering moonlight mode, you continue to long-press to switch to other white light brightness levels, it will be considered a switch to white light mode, and the white light mode will be memorized.)

Button Lock/Unlock
In the off state, long-press for 2 seconds to enter lock mode (the light flashes twice to indicate successful locking);
(In the locked state, clicking the button will cause the light to flash twice, and the green indicator light will flash rapidly, indicating that the button is locked and cannot be turned on.)
After the button is locked, long-press for 2 seconds to unlock the button, and the flashlight will turn on after unlocking.

Buck Driver.

Thanks for GAW!

What I really like are the dimensions - 12mm is OK for EDC - biggest flashlights I personally EDC are 1x14500, with diameter up to 21mm. This one is thinner and that’s great for carrying. Length is also OK. :+1:

Modes spacing - I would personally prefer medium closer to 80lm - that would give better runtime and that’s enough for most tasks.

Can You post a runtime graph?

This one is from @TimMc

More Data from TimMc, please kindly wait for his post of review. Thank you

The white light is pretty good! It is close to pure white with a delta u, v of almost 0.

Mode CCT (K) CRI (Ra) x y Duv
Low 6450 68.6 0.3138 0.3282 0.0022
Medium 6888 70.0 0.3078 0.3180 0.0000
High 6975 70.4 0.3068 0.3158 -0.0006
Turbo 7540 72.4 0.3009 0.3054 -0.0029

I took lux measurements with a UNI-T UT383BT at 30 seconds. Low was measured at one metre. Medium, High and Turbo were measured at five metres.

Mode Specs (cd) Specs (m) Candela measured (cd) Distance (m)
Low 47 13
Medium 825 57
High 2,375 97
Turbo 3,475 117
Mode Specs Lumens turn on Lumens 30 sec Lumens 10 min
Low 8 8 8
Medium 115 114 108
High 310 296 164
Turbo 1,218 330 159

Moonlight was too low for my DIY lumen tube to detect.

Note: Lumen measurements may be off by 10% with my DIY lumen tube.

Welcome to BLF!

Thanks for the giveaway.
I like the dimensions of this torch, looks like it would be nice and comfy for EDC in my pocket.

A 5000k version would definitely take this torch to another level. Also is it possible to raise the clip slightly so that’s it’s truly a deep carry clip?

1 Thank

Oh wow, I am impressed by the amount of data you have and are willing to share with us!

Not super interesting for me since I can’t swap the LEDs out with High CRI ones (519A 5700K), but a nice light nonetheless!

Thanks for GAW!
Please tell me about battery, can it be changed by user or flashlight body is glued?
I would like to see it with 5000k SFT25, it has nicer tint or with new model high cri SFT25.

3 Thanks

I’m also interested in the battery and possible replacement.

2 Thanks

You mean to totally hide the light in your pocket when clipping?

Thank you for your feedback, we will see if possible to make a swapable version in future.
