Vtiger Flashlight---New Product S2 Flashlight GAW【Now Live On Kickstarter and 226% funded--BLF Groupbuy For High CRI VERSION】

The battery is not sealed by glue but a screw under the clip, so tecnically YES, but opened the battery housing will void the warranty, and if you don’t change the battery properly, it could be dangerously, just a warning.

WoW! Never seen this shape!!

Also I dont have none like this one.

Good moment to be my first!

I am in. Thanks for the gaw

Looks nice. Thanks for the GAW.

Would prefer a separate switch to select UV or white, but the UI seems as it is very usable!

1 Thank

Thanks VTIGER for providing an early sample of the S2 UV for review!

Here is my full review:

Here is a video demonstration:

It is soldered to the driver with two wires. It may require a screwdriver and a soldering iron to change.

Neutral duv is good but 6500K is not pure white, it’s blue-ish white. 5000K variant would be better.

May I know why did you choose this not particularily efficient emitter instead of for example SFT-25R? SFT-12 produces just 850 lumens at 3A, SFT-25R - 1100lm. That’s 30% more light at the same power and 5000K variant tends to have nice tint to it.

5 Thanks

Interesting flat form factor, and the finish looks quite appealing especially in the video. The pictures don’t seem to do it justice.

As others mentioned, the emitter characteristics aren’t the most exciting. The replaceability of the battery is one concern, though at least it seems possible. I wonder if that rubber gasket will still be in place upon reassembly.

Always nice to see new options and brands, @Vtiger ! And thank you for the giveaway.

Thank you for your comment, regards the reassemble, Tim may help you out.

Hi all friends in BLF, now our project is live on Kickstarter, if you have interest in it, please back us up there with coming link. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/vtiger/vtiger-s2-compact-and-lightweight-edc-flat-flashlight?ref=6phm0q

Just to be sure: The lenses and bezels are pressed in, so no way of getting the LEDs out?

1 Thank

Yes, you are right with that.

I saw some people use heat glue stick to attach to the lense and then pull the bezel out, not sure if workable on this one. I haven’t tried that.

Thanks!
How high is the chance to get this flashlight with some high CRI LEDs like 519A or SFT25R High CRI in the future?

Because for now I have to dodge, simply because of the LED choice, but I would like to have a light like that, just with different LEDs

2 Thanks

Let’s see how many people will go for a high CRI version.

Kevin,

Is this flashlight made of anodized aluminum? I saw that a YT reviewer wasn’t sure.

Thanks,

Eric

Looks like cast aluminum or some kind of cast zinc alloy in the pictures from @TimMc.

2 Thanks

Exactly!

It doesn’t even has to be high CRI, SFT-25R 5000K is vastly superior over the SFT-12 6500K in basically every way - whiter/mone nautral and brighter. SFT-12 is quite inefficient.

1 Thank

Hi Eric,

You are right with it, the housing is Cast Zinc alloy, reflector is Aluminum and bezel is stainless steel.

1 Thank

Now the clip is deep, but not totally hide, we will try to make a deeper one. Thank you Pilotboy
