QSP Hawk Liner Lock Pocket Knife Laminated Damascus/S35VN Blades with Verawood and Marble Carbon Scales
Nice. I am a sucker for Damascus The Verawood looks real nice!
A nice relaxing Spyderco Saturday with the Sage 5 in SPY27.
After some repairs from the man himself, @JLHAWAII808 , my Ironman PM2 is now paid back up with his buddy, my Ironman D4K.
MBK EZC…
Inlay-swapped Civivi Voltaic…
Did the Ultem thing at last. Bought the button lock so the windows show right through and not a liner, but the blade retention is so weak I’ve returned it. Once it part opened in my pocket, again when I dumped my pack down, and fully opened when dropped onto the carpet.
I’ve re-ordered, but flipper liner lock. As you’ll see from the lint on the orange one, it gets a lot of use.
First button lock, really glad I didn’t buy a Vosteed Corgi Pup. Only knife I like with that free blade is my Para 2, which does have decent blade retention. Annoyed to return it, it’s a looker, I love it.
Modified Beacon again…
Sencut Snap with refinished scales…
I recently got a PM3 in Maxamet. Love the knife. I have several PM2 and had avoided the PM3 as being too small. Well maybe my habits have changed, but I find it to be quite good for what I am doing with my knives these days.
Nice that. I’ve been the same about the 3, I’ll have to grab one at some point. Prices are getting crazy for Spyderco now, I thought Benchmade Grips were nuts years ago, but we’re almost in custom price territory with Spyderco!
A yellow day again. PF Beluga Mini, incredible value, trying to avoid the Chinese v USA controversy if possible, but fit and finish on the PF’s is undeniably superb.
Also, I returned the button lock Elementum Ultem. It didn’t close and stay closed securely enough. The liner lock lacks those lovely straight thru windows, but it’s a cracker of a knife. The action on these is such a pleasure.
And because we’re in Autumn in the U.K., this is my UKPK Salt sat on a Shaggy Parasol. Just eye candy really, but it’s pretty out there at the moment, hope you don’t mind the off topic pics.
Any idea what these are… I mean specifically… I can tell it is some kind of mushroom. They have been popping up around my house for the last month or so.
Shaggy Parasol. Good to eat, but even a big bag go down to near nothing in the pan, best around that kind of size above just cut in half rather than slicing the big open dinner plates. Give them a try, they’re good. Do double check, but I’m pretty sure there’s nothing to worry about and that’s what they are. They’re kind of unique looking fungi.
Like any, I’d test a small initial amount first. People here eat them no problem, but one guy I know has eaten them all his life and suddenly developed an allergy and gets proper bad guts.
Edit cos it’s mushrooms and caution is always advisable. Yeah, you have them.
