What Flashlight do you prefer in your mouth?

Just thought of how many times the flashlight ends up in my mouth as I need both hands for the task at hand.
Just wondering what everyone’s favorite mouth flashlight is?
I mean we don’t keep headlamps folded up in our pockets, or do we:)?

Had the Rey Pineapple mouthed this morning and was wondering how safe a brass/copper light is.
Mouthed the Tank E09 a lot in the past.

Heavy 18650 lights can be tough for any length of time.

Enough from me.
Fire away!

Lately the Tool 2.0 is in my truck—-I usually put a piece of Heat Shrink over the tube—the knurling isn’t very pleasant on the teeth

What flashlight in my mouth? …. glad you asked. BLF GT is the answer.

well. Not really. Last time I held a light in my mouth I used an Olight S10. Since then, when I need hands-free light I put on actual headlamp. Much more comfortable, easier to position … and much less drool.

MecArmy SGN3 in between choppers for hands free just the other day. If I had it with me I would normally clip Tool 2.0 to hat. I wear a hat a lot - keep head warm, especially during polar vortexes.

BLF Q8 - i have a big mouth or so they tell me

I usually carry a fenix pd32 or blf A6 to work and they are usually tolerable w mouth holding but any longer than that and its back to the truck for the headlamp.

I want one of these more expensive little lights ...But I just can't seem to pull the trigger

None. That’s why I use a headlight a lot.

Definitely AA at most, so the Tool AA v2.0. 18650 is… doable, but I’ve tested all of my Convoys and none of them are a bearable drool-springing hassle when mouth held for more than, say, 5 seconds. Especially the front-heavy M1 and C8.

Normally I’d agree with you, but that’s not an option for me. When you have a huge broom of curly hair that you’ve been growing for 3+ years, you find out that ball caps tend to slip around on your noggin because of the lack of friction

Surefire…the taste will blow your mind

Borrowed that line from Dave Mustaine

I still EDC an OLD Thrunite Ti2 twisty AAA mostly because the rear flat part thats supposed to hold a ring fits so nicely in my teeth. Lips hold the light for the most part but teeth can help position light where needed.
Mine is beat and still works, 7 or more lenses replaced, anno stripped to raw, WW emitter now. Cant kill it.

Oh, and yes I do keep a headlamp folded up in my pocket here at the house. Skilhunt H03 (modded) Always doing something round here and need it a lot every day. Also use it on my shop all the time but its too DARN cold to be in the garage/shop…

I have had a long day and needed this thread. lol…thx.

One of the reasons I joined BLF is cause I can’t keep my Olight S30r ii in my mouth and my eyes started wandering. I instantly get a jaw cramp. I also apparently place a flashlight in my mouth all the time and find this to be natural.

Olight S1r ii ti rainbow. It taste like a candy.

my D4 with the shorty tube

I use a headlight when I am planning a job that requires one, but sometimes its just handy to pull out the D4 and use it. A couple minutes straight is not unheard of, any longer and I would grab the headlamp.

The flashlight that I prefer most in my mouth is the one that has a slim to none chance of exploding and taking my head off. Never had a flashlight in my mouth anyway, but if I would have to it would be a single AA or AAA.

None.

I’ll have what Till’s having…

+1

+1 I wear a headlamp loose around the neck .or a AAA tool clipped to my collar over my shoulder pointed forward .I'd tuck a light under my chin before putting a light in my mouth .

If I need hands-free at home I use a headlamp.
If I am for e.g. changing a tyre at the side of the road I have a magnetic cob variable angle light for flood, and an A6 with red diffuser if necessary as a warning or traffic wand.

If I am away from home or car I always have my keys with me, my keyring light is a Nitecore Tip.
This is a perfect mouth light, lightweight and flat, 4 light levels and an even flood for close or arms-length work.
Another last resort option for hands-free light if you have a shirt pocket is a cellphone light. Risk of dropping though.
