So.. people rather beat each other up than talk about it? Thats not in the spirit of IZ.^^
Yea, too bad it’s like that.
Provocation can happen anywhere, in any country, for the silliest reasons.
Fenix E11 silver from hkequipment.
That is a very nice looking headlamp. 8)
Well, I finally bit the bullet and bought a Klarus ST20 from good ol’ DD.
At $46.62 shipped it’s a rather large purchase, but the light fit all of my (rather specific) criteria perfectly, so it’s all good.
All I ever hear are good things about Klarus, and this will be my first from them so I’m excited.
From Manafont: x2 UltraFire 3-mode XM-L drop-ins, x1 free replacement of a bunk UF C1 body I had received a while back (took a while, but they were good on it), x1 pair of TrustFire Flame 18350 cells.
From eBay: x1 TrustFire Mini 01. (Woo!)
From SolarForce: x1 Forward clicky HA3 S6 tailcap/switch, x1 SS belt clip, x1 L2m battery tube, x1 L2P HA3 Tactical Head. (woo again!)
Yes, I know I can get a complete L2m for less, but with all the SF parts I already have, I can lego and reassemble different configs to my heart’s content, and I don’t need another 18650 size tube. I mean, who does?
(yeah, that’s a joke.)
Just ordered my second Marsfire T6-A from Manafont. Just love this light - not too over-driven on high - ard 2.4A per my cheap multimeter; OP reflector; nice titanium/neutral body colour. Also ordered silicon grease.
Can you buy a SF M3 next? Thanks.
I ordered all this from Manafont yesterday 8/6
1 x TrustFire Dual Channel Li-ion Battery Charger For 26650/25500/26700/18650/16340 - TR006 (US Plug) $12.88
2 x Protected TrustFire 18650 3.7V 2400mAh Rechargeable Batteries - Flame (2pcs/set) $21.13
1 x TrustFire - Protected TF 26650 3.7V 5000mAh Rechargeable Li-ion Battery (1pc/set) $13.33
1 x Protected TrustFire 18350 3.7V 1200mAh Rechargeable Batteries (2pcs/set) $7.20
1 x Ultrafire WF-501A Flashlight Tube CR123 Mini P60 Host (No LED Emitter) $5.89
I ordered a Solarforce L2t yesterday with a three mode XM-L. This will be my first “premium” budget light, I have wanted one (or a SF Z2) since I first saw one so I figured it was about time I ordered it.
Gurr, (according to USPS) it has been sitting in LA since the 4th. I could WALK to LA in half the time I have been waiting for it to come from LA. I hope it is just that USPS failed to scan it and it isn’t actually lost somewhere in the sorting center.-
Yay, USPS updated the tracking info, of course they sent it 350 miles north to a shipping center rather than, oh I don’t know, SENDING IT 30 MILES SOUTH TO MY CLOSEST SHIPPING CENTER OR 90 MILES SOUTH TO ME. :~
I WANT MY DARN L2T.
I ordered 2 King Kongs and a $5 charger from intl outdoor, i want to feed my cyclone the full 2.8A for close to 900 theoretical lumens of trail blazing light
Though i don’t “need” the lithiums since it can run on AAs, the cyclone is my sole over 100 lumen light, if i want its full output only lithiums will provide it

im waiting on my first budget light. a uf2100 from dinodirect also 18650x2 and a charger from manafont.
really sucks waiting so long for shipping.
50ml Fujik
The D.I.C.K. recommends it - what else do I have to say?…………
I know you get a “lot” of paste for few bucks(already a warning), but the thermal conductivity rating of that paste is very low, 0.88w/m.k
These are the thermal conductivity ratings for all “Fujik” branded thermal pastes:
BAB 900 - 0.88w/m.k (The common one that everyone buys from DX)
BAB 950 - 0.75w/m.k
BAB 660 - 1.10w/m.k
BAB 680 - 0.90w/m.k
BAB 690 - 1.10w/m.k
Thanks for the info.
I won’t use it for heatsinking anyway, it’s just for potting drivers.
Do you have further infos regarding its electrical conductivity?
The infos regarding electricity that I have are only for the BAB680, BAB690 and BAB660, not for the BAB900, the best seller (Fujik from DX).
Dielectric strength: ASTMD149> 500> 500> 500 (BAB680, BAB690 and BAB660)
Volume resistivity: ASTMD257 1.8*10-13 (BAB680) 1.8*10-13 (BAB 690) 2.0*10-13 (BAB660)
1- ultrafire hd 2010
1-trustfire z8
1-trustfire tr-3t6
1-ultrafire c8
2-ultrafire 502b xml’s
4-sk68 3 mode clones
Hm… this means, the electrical conductivity/resistivity of Fujik is comparable to hard rubber (if I understood the Wikipedia articles on “dielectric strength” & “volume resistivity” right…) and it should be a usable insulator, shouldn’t it?
I actually did not paid attention to this factor as I did not intend to pot anything. Should be good since other have used it for the same purpose. For a long time I was used to CPU thermal pastes reviews where the most important factor is the thermal conductivity rating. That being said Fujik from DX (BAB900) is far from 4-6-8w/m.k of most CPU thermal pastes, which apparently sometimes they are industrial thermal pastes in neat packages.
Hehe, yeah, CPU thermal pastes reviews have been my 1st choice, too, that’s why I ended up using Arctic MX-2 for heatsinking LED-stars. Anyway, thanks again for your help. To know that I’m (most probably) not doing wrong is way better than just believing it.
You're welcome.
I had the Arctic MX-2 in front of me, near the keyboard when I wrote that post :)
Ld2981 5V very low dropout regulators from Mouser along with some very tiny smt capacitors. See how 7135 -based driver works 2s2p on 8.4V. Regulator is for Atmel or Vdd pin, series LEDs to lower Vout.
Aiming for a high quality light system for my mountain bike:
Solarforce sales
2 x L2T’s with assessories:
2 reverse clickly inner switches (to be modified)
1 Diffuser
1 remote swith (to see if it’s any use with a mtb, would be cool to change modes without removing your hands from the handgrips)
2 recessed SS bezels
2 ss lanyards
Intl-outdoor
2 P60 3A NW dropins
2 spare OP reflectors
CN
3 Panasonic unprotected 18650’s 3400MaH
This should be fun, options to modify beams with OP/SMO reflectors and diffuser.
P60 size reflectors make good alround bike lights, as they provide good flood and a wide hotspot for throw purposes. With 3A dropins and 3400 Panasonics I should get killer brightness + more than 1 hour runtime! Perfect for a 45min nightride.
