Bought a Skyray stl-v2 because I needed a thrower.
Needed a soldering iron for basic mods and decided on this.
Its the only temp adjustable one on DX with a thermistor built in (that I could find) and didnt have reports of
lasting only a week before burning out in the comments.
My old Timex digital watch works like new, but it's all beat up. It also has a heavy stainless-steel watchband that I don't like. I've been using it as a pocket watch, which causes a lot of scratching because it's supposed to be a wristwatch, not a pocket watch.
I decided to order myself a new Timex watch because I think that they make the most attractive digital watches for the money. I chose the following Timex, which has a lightweight fabric & leather watchband. I got the last one available on Amazon, for $28 shipped. It looks like a nice watch for a decent price. :)

I’m waiting on my crelant 7g5-v2 + collimator head because I wanted a thrower with aspherical capabilities.

Damn it… I just bought a DMM, 10 protected Panasonic 18650 NCR18650As and a lux meter (200k).

Yeah, probably upwards of $2500 all in, but he’s sponsored, so probably more like $1000. Really depends on gear used and this is the priciest size heli on the market.

That’s a large RC isn’t it? Does it have a functioning tail rotor? It looks like the helicopter is rotating quite often about it’s own main axis (rotor). Can you maintain slow controlled flight without spinning around with that model?
It will do anything, included hover in one spot and never move. It’s just these hot shots like to throw it around and see how close they can come to destruction. I too wanted to fly smooth when beginning, but now I throw down pretty hard…
