- What is the first LED light you ever bought ?
Mine was one of those 9 LED generic lights, in Camo finish, almost 10 years ago when they first appeared in outdoors equipment & camping stores. ( it cost close to $ 8.00 dollars back then, and had nine horrid eye-searing blueish radiation-tinted 5mm LEDs.
I still have it and it still works.
like this one below:
The first one I bought was a Rook. But my sister had given me a couple of them like the 9x that you posted and I was also gifted a little handcrack dynamo one before that.
It seems like “the problem” is some of you started at the high end :)!
I don’t know if this counts, but my first one that got me started with one of the “free” AAA lights that Coast used to have (I think still have) that you could order when I bought one of their headlights at Home Depot (maybe the headlight was actually “the first”).
I still carry that one on my keychain, even though it’s all beat up and lost the lens.
If that “free” doesn’t count, then it’d be one of the SK68 clones (even though I didn’t know it was an SK68 clone) that I bought via Amazon.
It was one of those Photon lights. A discontinued model with two buttons and blue led (there where no white LED’s at the time). Those Photon lights have great warranty service btw.
First white LED light might have been one of those 9-led 3xAAA lights. And the first Cree light was Ultrafire C3 from DX.
