I carry a Convoy S4 that has an XML2-U2 dedomed LED that has an extra 4 7135’s stacked (Thanks Tom E) and pulls ~4A off a Sony US18650VTC4. Custom mods include:
wire coat hanger pocket clip
drunken night sand from pocket to enhance orange peel reflector
sanded pennies (yes that is difficult comfychair) as a heat sink
automotive high temp RTV as a spacer because mine melted on initial build
I carry three flashlights at work. Nitecore P12 or Thrunite TN12 in a holster, Streamlight Protac 2aaa in my shirt pocket and a Thrunite TiS on a neck lanyard. I use the TiS frequently, usually for just a few seconds at a time. Overall I use them approximately 15 minutes a day.
At home in the yard I usually reach for the Thrunite TN30.
Surprisingly I use the cheapest, smallest light the most!
Either one, depends which is closest when I need light.
The L2N has one of Solarforce’s L2 CL1 Lenses for a spread of light.
The L2M shorty has an A001 head with a ~320Lm warm white drop-in plus a Xeno lanyard ring, the L2N ~800Lm drop-in and a -
Titanium Lanyard ring and a Solarforce S8? Tailswitch that will tailstand.
I randomly use different lights all the time.
Though on the night table my custom light is the one that is there along side a Warrior & a modded BTU Shocker for when i need a blast of light. in my jeans pocket its varies between a modded Tank007 E09, Thrunite Ti2 with 219, Solarstorm SC03 with 219, Olight i3, and others, and in a coat pocket a SK68 mod or modded Olight S15 & S20, Keychains have Mini-01 & 02s, the list goes on.
On my night table is a XinTD X3 with a 26650. Mainly because that is my latest acquirement. It gets used for perhaps ten minutes to half an hour each night. In my keychain there is a Nitecore Sense AA. It sees a bit of daily use as well, when I go to the root cellar and so on. On my bicycle I have a Convoy C8.
My EDC light (left front pocket) for the last year and a half is a Oveready Moddoolar Pocket Clicky in dual 18350 mode @ 1200L with H/M/L modes. I have a LOT of Oveready lights but this one get carried every day. Great stuff!
