What you got today

I have an NVMe drive in my desktop. It’s insanely fast. Unfortunately in most day to day activities 99% of that is wasted. lol

Went to the thrift store and couldn’t resist this for $1.49:

Never had an alkaline leak in it, the switch works, and :exclamation: the bulb wasn’t even burned out. Threw in a couple of C cells, and it turned right on.

Now I gotta figure out how to put a Yuji 95 CRI 3200K LED in it.

Nice!

Does this dress make me look fat?

Received YZXstudio ZY1280 from oversea.

Niwalker C11 received, and it is undergoing test right now.

Got a Enova GYRFALCON ALL-88 8 bay charger today. Charging 8 Samsung 30Q’s at 1 amp, it draws 3.96 amps from my homemade power supply. So far it seems to be working perfectly. The included power supply is rated at 4 amps. Not much headroom IMO. My home made supply can handle 5 amps continuous.

They didn’t both come today, but with twins, I waited until I had them both to pass them on.

Personally, I prefer the Convoy S9, mostly because of its size, even though it has long-press for off. But, my daughters loved the moonlight mode on the Sofirn SP30A, so I might end up with the S9 anyway, after I order another SP30A.

All these MOLLE system bags, pouches, etc., are pretty kewl. Even if you don’t plan on using them to lego onto a backpack or anything, some of these pouches are the perfect size for multimeters, etc., and have the “loops” on the inside for the probes, pockets for space batteries or other accoutrements, and so on.

Right now, my sling-bag has a SP32Av2 in a holster on one side, my regular pouch for phone, keys, etc., on the other, umbrella in the “shoelace” area on the front flap, and today I got a coupla “waist bags” (more small pouches) that I just snapped onto the front to carry some goodies I picked up at lunch today.

I’d snap a pic of it, but unless I do it under bright sunlight, black on black on black won’t show up very well.

I feel like Johnny Cash…

Still waiting for a bunch more from AX, so the “wallet” thingy and other doodads are still somewhere on the tarmac in Bok Choi or wherever.

I finally upgraded from my well used Petzl Alveo to this super sweet white KASK. It’s pretty much the gold standard of arborist / climbing head protection that all others are measured against. Got it on a below MAP sale from treestuff.com!

ROT 66 SST20 10W NW 4000K CRI95 CAME IN TODAY

Wish I had waited on ROT66 and got AUX board with it instead of jumping the gun and getting 1st batch

I got this and it’s already broken :stuck_out_tongue:

Don’t feel bad - what came today was my second and third ROT66 - had to have another Nichia 219B also…. :person_facepalming:

Got Convoy S2 UV today. My first UV light.

I’m very disappointed, it seemingly has ZWB2 filter but nevertheless generates a lot of visible light.

Is it the dark grey model C2? That was my first UV light. Maybe it has still the older model UV-led.
With my black Convoy C2+ / Nichia UV-led only the lighting of the specs on the “black” glass tells if it is “on”. And a piece of white paper, of course. Or looking straight into the lens :person_facepalming: :cowboy_hat_face:

Interesting. I purchased mine and separately purchased the ZWB2 filter. To be honest, I forget who I bought the filters from. Might have been gearbest or banggood. Not sure. I’ll check later. That said, mine has minimal visible light.

Forgot to mention, I bought the Convoy a couple of years ago from the official Convoy store.

It’s fasttech black S2 (not S2+) with LG LED. According to djozz test, they do generate a lot of visible light, but that light should be filtered-out by the lens. Apparently it’s not, it’s still daylight and the beam is bright blue. I see that in the dark I could easily walk around with nothing but that blue light.

Hm, apparently something is serious wrong. I have bought an LG-led from Simon (Convoy), and put that and a 40mm ZWB2 lens I got from djozz in a C8. And frankly, I would not dare walking off the road in the dark. The only thing I see is a vague hotspot, and occasionally something that violently reflects UV light. It almost looks like you got a 395-400nm UV light or a 450-455 nm blue light. But FT does not sell those!!
BTW the S2 I mentioned was the S2 3535 UV LED 1050mA 3-mode Grey I bought some years ago from FT.

Finally got me one.
