These are the amps http://thodio.blogspot.com/2011/04/thodio-design-2-x-70-watts-rms-2-x-140.html

This is how I accidentally came across it http://archive.light-reviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1015

I agree with what is said..........Thanks FASTCAR

I received the other part of my IO order today . . .

Hank's new drop-ins all pull a rock steady 3 amps on high. The Cyclone (U2/1B) pulls 2.80 and is almost as bright as the real McCoy and the Wildfire is the current new cool in Foy's hand. It has the lowest firefly mode I have ever seen. Won't even move a digit on my lame DMM. Pulls 0.00. You can put the bezel right against your eye socket and stare at the emitter.

Those drop-ins come with a strange stick-on heat wrap.

Reviews to come.

p.s.

The rendition of these drop-ins are making me the tint snob I used to make fun of.

Looking forward to the drop in reviews and maybe comparison beamshots against the MF drop in.

Yep. Will do.

It's a quality piece for sure. Not quite as bright as the UF XM-L but man, do I love the neutral tint. I must be a redneck . . . taking this long to discover the value of tint.

I'm really interested in the wildfire and can't wait for the review. It's almost an exact clone of the thrunite t30,been on the fence about this one for awhile.

How's the pwm on them foy?

pounder -

Actually pretty dang good. As much as I love the UF XM-L drop-in, every one of mine has significant oscillation on medium and low. Foy's low rent method for testing PWM is to shine a light at a certain angle in front of a digital camera. Bad PWM will show up as wide bands, spaced far apart. The UF XM-L has thick bands with razor sharp edges of definition. Not so bad that it's an issue to the naked eye but . . .

With these neutral T6s, the lines are thin, close together and smooth in between. On low and medium they almost run together which, is kinda what you want. On high they run together so much that you can barely notice any PWM. I'm impressed.

I can't get that wrap stuff to fit inside an L2P, however. It's a little thick.

Cool man..sounds great..i agree the manafont 3 mode has low pwm..the neutrals are t6's though right?

Yes, they are. Thanks for catching it.

Was kind of hoping I was wrong and it was a U2 lol..can't wait to get my neutral in..glad to hear theyre good

What threw me is the heading on IO's site says U2. The only one that's U2 is the 1B cool white. (.99 extra) I wonder if that 7B is as yellow as the WW I got from Manafont a while back? The one I have is awful.

I cut it short and then stretched around the drop in, then the fiddly bit was holding it tight whilst getting it assembled, I figured better than nothing but I don't know if it will work better than a good foil wrap...

FOy, I recognize the Cyclone but what is that delicious looking light on the left? I’m guessing it’s a Solarforce but which model? M6 or M8?

Thats an awesome piece of engineering there. Love how it still fits in to the flashlight category when you have an illuminated bass reflex port! I guess it beats the mp3 radio flashlight things on DX for sound quality but DX still beats you on price ;)

I know which I would prefer though!

Oh and I like how its used a normal apple IR dock and just installed that into the box. its a neat way of doing it, and would work really well too.

Small inexpensive pocket torch SmalSunZY-S11 and pair of 18650:

I got a Nitecore T0 in Blue and now I see why battery junction had them marked down to 10 bucks...

The new SWM AA extender I got was pretty cool though. Now I can run a bunch of types of batteries in my V10R.

After reading all of the issues that people are having with the new SWM TI lights I'm glad that I went with a basic aluminum V10R.

I’m curious as to what you didn’t like about the Nitecore T0. I never cared for that style of light but would like to hear from someone who does.

I have a Fenix E01 and I just like it better than the Nitecore T0. They are both cheap, dim, keychain lights but I have a thing for blue lights and knives so I just had to get on when they were on sale.

The main appeal to lights like these is the run time and durability. Just put it on your keychain and it's there when you need it.

There are a couple of other things that's really neat about it.

A red LED is mounted behind each speaker cone that works as a safeguard indicator.

It will glow when volume is turned up too high and the speaker is about to distort or clip.

When the unit is first turned on, the LED will glow for a second to let you know it's working.

The light that you noted coming out of the bass port is actually a battery meter.

It will change from white to lite red then to dark red giving you a heads up on your battery life.

The LED's glows through the different shade cycles when you turn the unit off, to let you know it's working.

I ran the stereo for 9 hours straight at a moderate volume when I was working on my truck.

The port light was still white.

I just got a scooter belt from Japan..I ordered it on the 11th and they shipped on the 13th..got it today..that's 4 days Japan EMS..I am impressed!
