Where do folks buy their lanyards?

I am having a hard time working out where to buy some decent lanyards? Preferably ones with keychain attachments rather than those weak looking thin black string attachments…

I make mine with Paracord. It’s super easy to do. There’s plenty of YouTube videos on it.

Assloads on amazon of varying quality and price.

Need better?

Good suggestion! :grinning:

Not used for a flashlight as I’m not much of a lanyard fan, but for other gear, I’ve a Gfeller leather lanyard, excellent quality.

Else, I use climbing accessory cord, it’s thinner than paracord so less bulky; often lanyard holes are small enough that you can simply thread the cord through the hole.

Legend has it that entire cities have been built on the landfill created by discarded lanyards.

I confirm that

My lanyards are normally done with paracord and some clasps!

There are some excellent threads right here on BLF about paracord lanyards .

Or dacron.

I ordered some paracord off Amazon along with some cheap beads. Attached a review pic of one of them, wouldn’t put it on one I frequently use but will look sick on something more for collecting…

CountyComm has some good stuff, but I wouldn’t order unless I have a few items in the cart, since shipping can add up.

I use OP/TECH USA wrist straps on my BLF GT and my cameras. They are neoprene that has a slight give to it.

They also make excellent camera straps for medium format cameras. Used to use one for my Mamiya RB67 while I had it. Was comfortable to carry, considering how much of a chonk that thing is.

I personally like the ones that come with the Convoy flashlights.

Several years ago I tried to find them on them on AliExpress, Amazon, eBay, etc., but no luck. Seems like a simple lanyard, but they were nowhere to be found. So with an order awhile back I asked Simon to throw in some extra lanyards and he obliged.

Now I have plenty of back-ups. :slightly_smiling_face:
