Which AA Has Longest Throw?

Please advise which AA battery flashlights have the longest throw. I would like to get one.

I would also like the flashlight to have a low setting with extended battery life.

The light must be able to accept Eneloop AA rechargable batteries.

How many AA’s? e.g. a 9AA torch will be quite a bit bigger than a 1AA torch.

Do you want a small torch, pocket friendly, etc etc.

Manker T01 / Godmes T01 is the farthest throwing 1x AA that I’m aware of, good moon and range of modes too.

Yup, must be Manker T01.

It can be purchased here for $39.95 and you can get an additional 20% off with this code…2ae5a1.

Yes, I agree. Throws very well for a 1xAA. Better than any 2xAA I own, too.

It’s not a great user-interface, IMO, but it’s acceptable.

The Orcatorch T11 also throws very well. I do not have the Manker as a reference.

I have one of THESE and I love it. I got it HERE .Several times a year, usually around some holiday; they have sales with pretty good discounts. :+1:

Many will not consider this a “budget light” and that is fine. But it has pretty much become my favorite multiple cell AA light …. bar none. I use 4 AA Eneloops and the rest is history. Throw is pretty good as far as I am concerned, and the modes are well spaced to my liking.

Fits nicely in my back jeans pocket also.

Please note, this light is not compatible with 14500 Li Ion batteries.

ThruNite TN4A with XP-L HI for 4x AA.
Throws better than Nitecore EA45S and is cheaper.

Can get Nitecore for $37 from Gearbest now with code.

Really!!! That is a deal. Can you tell me where to get the code, I need a spare for the truck.
Thanks in advance……

What about the ol’ Convoy / XinTD X3?

On the Gearbest deals thread if still active.

Actually the Nitecore EA45S outdoes the ThruNite TN4A quite handily.

Plus it is a much slimmer and easily pocketed light as far as I am concerned. It feels fantastic in the hand also.

I said “ThruNite TN4A with XP-L HI”:

which is the thrower variant.
Often discounted at Amazon for about 40 bucks.

Edit: missed WalkIntoTheLights post.

Not a big fan of relatively high priced AA powered lights

TomBrooklyn, you can get a 1x AA powered SK68 off eBay for $3 delivered, or less if you win an auction. They throw quite well due to the zoom feature. It won’t beat lights costing 10X much, but in that price range I would abandon the idea of using AA cells and go 2 x 18650 powered.

Oh, you mentioned nothing about size, budget, or # of AA cells. Insufficient information!

Yep, so you did…………. you boys are both right. :+1: Probably a senior moment on my part……… :person_facepalming: ……

Personally I still am sold on the EA45S because of it’s lighter weight, slimmer design, fact that it pockets easily, and good feel in the hand. But those are personal likes & observations of mine.

However, the ThruNite TN4A with XP-L HI does indeed outdo it in the areas made bold below.
