I know I was doing something wrong.
Yup. And only 2 orders listed.
I find it strange that Wurrkos only listed 2 of them for sale. I’d definitely buy a TS10 in Copper or Titanium if they weren’t sold out.
IMHO the correct answer lies somewhere else in this thread.
Nobody with just a tiny bit of smell will stick anything in his/her mouth if it smells like that.
OTOH I’m not a patina lover. So I would be polishing it all day long. To keep shiny things shiny.
For some reason I’m not disgusted by the smell of brass or copper.
Who knows what kind of Cu or Alu alloy using Chinese manufacturers. I ques, the cheeepest ;))
And when the heat is all sucked up in a little piece of metal you want to get rid of the heat.
This is the point where you want as much heat radiation as possible. Has someone numbers for this?
Imho aluminium with hard anodizing is a pretty good radiator
They were up again for a little bit. They listed 5 left, and that dropped to 3 by the time I got from the page to my cart.
They are now listed on the Wurkkos site as a New Arrival, and I snagged one there since AE’s page was hanging in my browser.
I had a square block of aluminum hard anodized black a while ago for thermal testing purposes, but I still have not acquired a thermal camera. When I get the camera, I will do some thermal tests and see what if anything can be determined from them.
Shame about the auto changing RGB aux. What on earth were they thinking
what really???
Auto changing aux lights will kill it for me. I’m out.
Thankfully I can diy a new board.
True, not super difficult to do. I guess I’m getting lazy in my older age. I haven’t sat at my work station and worked on anything in a long time. Probably been over a year since I have done a simple emitter swap.
Between work and taking care of the property and critters, I end up running out of time. Guess I’ll have to make some time to get some work done. I have a box full of lights waiting on some kind of work.
Shame about the auto changing RGB aux.
Wait, it’s just a hardwired rainbow mode or something, and colors are not controlled by the firmware?
I had assumed it would use RGB aux like their other lights. Can anyone confirm how the RGB works on this light?
Can anyone confirm how the RGB works on this light?
they use an Auto changing RGB:
more info
they have a chip built into the rgb itself. There is no Anduril color control, just Full Disco
in any case, the Disco Copper TS10 4000K are sold out. Next comes 3000K w single color Aux…
Thanks. I found the video in that thread, and … it looks like a bright disco mode.
It’s like people couldn’t agree whether to get burgers, nachos, or sushi… so someone got all three and put them in a blender.
it looks like a bright disco mode
yes, the TS10 RGB Disco only work on Bright Aux mode…
Wurkkos chose the Fast Disco RGB Chips, after seeing the mod Adair21 did, with Slow Disco RGB Chips…
BurgNachSushBlend… LOL!
The newest BulletProofBreakfast everyone is Raving about…
NOt for long… I am going to re do all of my ts10s.
ok… but hear me out sushi nacho burger… Sushi like unagi very unomi flavor rich… with some sort of white cheese sauce, it would balance well with the unagi on a ramen bun… That would be so bomb. so rich and smooth…
Just got mine from Wurkkos on Ali Express, too. Beautiful. Just wondering how to stop the flashing colour lights? I have to unscew the head to break off battery contact.
how to stop the flashing colour lights?
You might want to read the Manual
"Aux LED modes typically include:
- Off
- Low
- High
- Blinking
7C → Next aux LED mode."
An alternative, instead of turning Aux off when Unlocked:
Set Aux to Off when Locked
While in lockout, do 7C, One time… this will turn off Aux, while locked.
(if the default was blinking Aux mode)
That way you could Leave the Aux ON when Unlocked. Then just lock to turn Aux off.
(Aux settings for Unlocked are separate than Aux setting when Locked)
If you prefer to have Aux Off when unlocked
(if im correct that the default is Aux on High mode)
7C advances Aux to blinking mode,
7C again, advances to Off
Unscrewing the head is not ideal, because it does not turn off the tailswitch. If the button gets held down, it will start a Factory Reset.
