The Xiaomi website only shows the 16000, 10400, and the 5000 for sale. I assumed their site was up to date seeing that it is the official site.
Have you checked the chinese version?
All this talk about powerbanks made me pull the trigger for another two 10000mAh (pink and gold)
I checked here. 404 - Xiaomi Singapore
And here. 404 - Xiaomi Global
Someone in Vietnam opened the new one Xiaomi 10000 mAh one - Sanyo NCR18650BF
so…… ironically at the moment is CHEAPER to buy the 10000 power bank instead to buy separately 3 18650bf …… ehehehe
buy the powerbank, open it and use the batteries is cheaper……
I have had the opportunity to test my 16000mah version for a bit. During a trip, visiting relatives in another city, I used the battery bank to charge my iphone and my ipad 2 (4th.gen i think) simultaneously. The iphone charged at a relatively good pace, while the ipad charged very very slow. This was because my kid in the backseat was playing games at the ipad while it was charging.
Pretty impressed by the Xiaomi 16000mah.
When charging just my iphone, it charges just as fast as a regular wall charger. This is of course as expected according to specs, but non the less impressive for a low priced gadget like this. Occasionally I actually find myself using it to charge my phone while at home. Sometimes it’s just more convenient to charge the phone laying by my side, without the need to have a wall socket nearby.
After rather quick shipping from gearbest I opened 10000mAh power bank for inspection and I’m really impressed (not an easy thing to do) with build quality and great engineering effort put into making these. The only thing i would change is function of test button to work as a power button. That would make use of xiaomi usb led light / cooling fan and similar gadgets much more convenient…
If you have original Xiaomi powerbank and original Xiaomi usb fan or Xiaomi usb fan this button acts like a power button - press it once, the usb light or usb fan starts working, press it again they stop working…
Just ordered a 10,000mAh xiaomi from GB. I hope to see NCR18650BF in there…
Hmm, that’s strange… You’re right it really does work like a power button with xiaomi usb light but not with other devices !
I have a original Xiaomi 16000 3.75V PB, I used a USB tester and a USB LED light to see what I could get out of it, after fully charge it first. And I got around 11.500mAh out of it. Maybe some goes away with the tester or the light?
For when I used the same USB tester to charge it, after it was empty, I charged it 15.000mAh.
Anybody know why I only gets 11.500 out from a freshly charged PB, and then I can put in 15.000 right after?
I just found banggood selling the 10,000mAh xiaomi for $11.99??
Can this be real?? Converting to RMB makes it cost the same as buying in xiaomi store…
There is no such thing as a free lunch… Boost circuitry in powerbank has losses, usb light has losses in step down circuitry (or simple resistor) that are converted to heat…
I’m so impressed that I will have to get myself some nice bedtime drink
11,5000mAh output is more than adequate for the 16,000mAh capacity rating:
11,500mAh x 5.0V = 57.5Wh
57.5Wh/3.7V = 15,500mAh
You have to put it more charge because the charging circuit is not as efficient.
that means if it is using 5 cells and each is rated at3.7v then each cell is 3100mAH..
Ok, so pretty good result actually then. Stupid of me to cancel a couple extras I had ordered at GB…maybe order a couple more then
Already ordered 2 of it, and the price is still the same since then.
Just a quick update.
Received two 10,000mAh power banks from banggood. These are the new model and have 3 cells instead of 4. Decided to take one apart since I bought them for the batteries anyways.
Inside there are 3 purple LG F1 18650 3,350mAh cells, labeled “LGABF1L1865”. The construction of this power bank is very good and the internal components are top class, there is even an external temperature sensor to monitor the batteries. The supplied USB cable is also excellent and is able to carry 2A fine.
Makes me wonder why is it so much cheaper to buy this power bank than the 3 batteries inside separately. Batteries are being tested right now for capacity in my opus 2.2, but I have no reason to doubt these are genuine LG F1s.
