I have the older Klarus XT21 (not the Pro) and it’s always been one of my favorites.
I didn’t buy it this year but Klarus XT21X Pro is excellent.
Emisar D3AA has replaced TS10 as my EDC.
the Wurkkos HD10 MAO is growing on me:
I like end switches better than sideswitches
and tailmagnets work well w Right angle lights
Chalk.
Have the TS10 MAO’s and like them but they are like a cheap beer, acquired taste
MAO is actually a Crystaline Ceramic structured Anodising… Im particularly fond of the hand feel after polishing off the outer chalky layer.
you might be able to notice the sheen on the MAO TS10 on the right, it is polished. The HD10 on left is unpolished in that photo… it did feel chalky, as delivered.
I polished mine in my pocket.
Like the way the high points wear actually.
Chalk is just reference to the color.
It’s not for everyone just as the un anodized BLF A6’s were not and they are ones that will never be sold. Love them.
This is me being unable to even begin to nail a choice and just listing cool lights I bought, sorry
Acebeam P20 for me too. That thing is just so OTT I love it.
Sofirn Q8Pro, cool white wall o’ light.
Hanks Emisar D3AA in cyan blue, 519A domed 5700 is totally practical and a great fun edc.
Acebeam E75, sturdy and sensible. Probably the actual best of a good bunch.
Q8Pro on the camera mount of a Leki trekking pole, great fun

My favorite/coolest from the flashlights that I recieved this year:
-
Lumintop Thor 3.
Completely useless for practical use (at least for me), but damn, what impressive and intense (and nicely parallel) beam to play around with at night! The funfactor is really high with this one. -
Sofirn Q8 Plus.
Just a lot of fun to see what a wall of light it can produce, everytime I play with it. Maybe not my most used flashlight, but for the price it can be bought for during certain sales (between 50-60 euro), it is hard to beat this amount of lumen for this price. -
Wurkkos HD10.
I already loved almost all of the aspects of the TS10, but the HD10 is in certain ways even a step up. (Onboard charging for this size headlamp is one of them!) Lovely little headlamp with a nice and wide beam, perfect for work up close.
Honorable mention:
Acebeam Rider RX 2.0 Titanium (stonewash)
I just recieved it today, so not much (practical) experience with it so far, but from what I can tell, I really like it way more than I expected! It was an impulse buy from when it was on sale on AE recently, but I slightly regretted it afterwards. (It was a good deal, but it has been on sale for a bit cheaper recently.)
I thought that the stonewash Ti look wasn’t completely my taste, but now that I’ve seen it in real life, I actually kind of love it! Besides that: really good clean tint 5000K 519A and a nice floody hotspot for in and around the house!
I regret not buying a Thor 3 earlier this year on a pretty good sale. My impression was the same as your thoughts: not practical (for me either) but looks fun!
I wanted an LEP for a while now, but was a bit hesitant, because (in general) it’s on the expensive side of what I would like to spend on a single light, certainly for a flashlight that I don’t have a real practical use for. The only cheaper ‘viable’ options where the Trustfire T30R, but in a review here on BLF, I noticed that it had extremely weird regulation on high.
The other (and cheapest) option was the Natfire SF2, which was on sale for something like € 52,- (including EU tax), which was a price for which I could not pass up on it. The SF2 is a fantastic LEP for that price, but it wasn’t my perfect LEP.
I managed to get the Thor 3 down to € 97,- (incl. tax/shipping) on AE with coupons, etc. I asked myself if I wouldn’t be happier if I would spend a bit more money, but also would get an exponentially ‘better’ LEP. Yes, the Thor 3 was quite a bit more expensive than the SF2, but it is also (to me) so much better on so many levels, that I think (to me) it had the same (if not better) value for money than that the SF2.
I might have been able to get the Thor 3 a bit cheaper at some point, but in terms of performance and quality, it’s possibly (if you don’t care about the somewhat bigger size), one of the best value for money LEP’s for around that ~ € 100,-.
But I’m straying away too far from what this topic is meant for, SO BACK ON TOPIC!!!
1st -Copper D4K dual channel with FFL351A 1800k and 4000k. Built by Jackson.
2nd - D3AA with 2xFFL351A 1800k and 1xFFL351A 5000k (I modified to get rid of the ugly SST20 5000k)
3rd - S2+ I built with a CULNM1.TG. It measured extremely high on CCT. But there’s no green in the beam. It’s great!
Fireflylite E04 Surge.
