Emisar D3AA
I look forward to hear your thoughts on it! Especially comparing the X1L to your Surge. Btw, you can get a throwier optic for it from Gaggione.
Thanks for making me aware of that…
I just tested my HD10, starting with the battery at 3.70V, using an inline charge indicator
charging started at 0.94A and dropped to 0.90A after just a few seconds. After 10 minutes the charge rate had dropped to 0.84A, after 30 minutes it had dropped to 0.38A
an inline USB meter showed they both kept charging after the LED charging indicator changed colors from Red to Green
When my HD10 charge indicator changed to green, the inline meter showed 0.00A
until their 14500 Li-ion battery eventually terminated too high at ~4.3 Volts.
mine ended at 4.26V
my Voltage readings are from a DMM, not the HD10 internal battery meter, which was reading 0.04V lower than my DMM
Conclusions:
my HD10 starts at a 1C charge rate and tapers down as the battery charges.
Charging does terminate, when the green light comes on, the charge rate is Zero on my inline meter
My HD10 overcharged by 0.06V, it took 48 minutes to go from 3.70V to 4.26V
Damn, 90% of the lights are Wurrkos.
Favorite mid-tier priced flashlight?
----> Firefly Lite E07X Cannon. It wasn’t just the noticeable improvement in quality and the good impression of the FFL351A emitters, but also some nice touches like gloss-black contrast motif and magnetic USB-C port door.
(I did get an X4 Stellar that’s waiting for me, but won’t be home until a few days into 2025)
Favorite lower tier priced flashlight?
----> Acebeam H16. Frankly, I have to admit that the UI is a bit lacking. There’s no electronic lockout, although you can do a physical lockout. There’s no command to get a battery voltage reading. Double-click to on, memorized last brightness level. Click+hold for moonlight. NW is pretty neutral. Orange anodizing looks sharp. Great switch and nicely strong tail magnet. Reasonably strong clip. Attractive design, with hexagonal faceted head. This is such a handy mini EDC headlamp.
Based on this post…
…Convoy is in second place, but that post hasn’t been updated in a while.
Sofirn HS42, hands down. (High CRI) Flood, spot and red emitters and regulated output to boot. Delivered to my door for £18.50.
My two HD10 charge differently than yours, with the average behavior as follows:
When the charge indicator changes to green, the inline meter shows ~0.2A.
Charging continues for another ~20 minutes as the inline meter tapers to 0.00A.
When charging terminates, the battery measures ~4.3V with a DMM.
If I take the battery out when the charge indicator first turns green it measures ~4.25V.
I purchased both of my HD10 with the included battery from AmazonUS when they were on sale for $22 each and would have purchased a few more if the built-in charging terminated at or below 4.2 Volts with a maximum charging current of 0.5 Amps.
OT - Sorry. You read my mind - cross post from my other thread.
Convoy L21B SFT40
Among all splendid Wurkkoses that I bought just in November 2024

Wurkkos HD10 4Kk Orange - HD10-CSP2323-OR-4K-2 - is the one.
Most versatile, most used, most fun - favorite of the '24.
(although I had to add extra neodymium magnet under the spring to make it up for original weak one)

Isn’t this supposed to be the favourite light, not multiple favourite lights?
From OP:
"What were your favorites of 2024? "
I guess being s budget brand in very high inflation times helps with that, hahaha : D
Also I think they are pretty good and if you have the TS10 and you love it aren’t you going to grab HD10 for just 20 something? And now what? You aren’t going to get TS10 SG for about 20?
You can end getting many lighgs for fun, lights that are useful, lights for people not into the hobby, etc.
Deserved popularity IMO
the title made me think the same, as it says “favorite”
but then I read the text of the first post, which says “favorites”, so I added a few more to my post…
So, dont forget to post your favorites to this thread…
I’m sorry, do we have a ranking of the worst flashlights purchased in 2024?
Only bought one, but it still is my favorite!
Customized Emisar D18.
For me it’s definitely the FireFly offerings. Difficult to choose one particular, maybe the X4 Stellar, especially with the 1800K FFL351A
Yes, I took the title at face value, but the text suggests favourites.
