Wow, I thought Wurkkos HD10 would have a lot more following.
To me it’s the best light of this year (I’m a N00bZ, remember), because it is a TS10V2 in a format I like, you can use it as a front light and has USB charging, Anduril 2, etc. Many things to love.
I also liked the TS11 a lot, but it is second place.
I’ve bought a few lights this year but they are not my favorites. I’m quite happy with IF25 tint ramping with the new FFL351A 1800k and 5000k emitters.
I love my FFL X4 Stellar 4000k and E07X Cannon 3700k, but my favorite is my Emisar D3AA Ti with FFL505A 4000K emitters from JLHawaii. Love the rosy tint and it punches way above its size.
Convoy M21F received this morning. Yes it has a stupid turbo mode, but after a couple of minutes it drops down and runs for ages with a very high output.
My all time favourites are the Sunwayman M40A and C23C due to the superb build and regulation.
Welp, I think I’m gonna pick the Wurkkos HD11. The flood is too green and the red is unfocused but it’s a damn fun light with a great clip and many lego possibilities. The articulating head is smooth and has a beveled edge unlike the nicrons. It seems similar to the Sofirn HS21 'cept for the rotary switch and the format. I got mine for $28 on the 'zon.
No definitive “coolest / best / favorite” standout from the flashlights I purchased in 2024 but “most used” was:
Wurkkos HD10 (4000K CCT) Headlamp
But with misgivings because:
From my perspective, based on the two HD10 headlamps I purchased, the built-in charging port’s current was too high at ~1 Amp and an inline USB meter showed they both kept charging after the LED charging indicator changed colors from Red to Green until their 14500 Li-ion battery eventually terminated too high at ~4.3 Volts.
I would have gladly sacrificed the built-in charging port for a “Dual Fuel HD10” supporting both Li-ion and NiMH batteries as I prefer using NiMH batteries in my AA and AAA size lights.
No doubt. Thanks again for the “inspiration.” As you remember I had stopped posting completely until I got Fireflied. I haven’t started writing about it, but I like the X1L a LOT also.
