Far out this light is doing my head in lol. I will buy one but i was tossing up to get this or the UF1504 for throw. I guess the 1405 will be better but this light needs no work just change the LED and that’s all. Not a fan of side switches but i put my trust in TA
You will probably get it but you will have to wait like me, probably wait longer because I ordered my NW on February 14th @ 5:30AM/5;30PM Hong Kong time!

Don’t take offense to this information,I believe it to be true and so do many others,This guy “teej” is a genius, scientist/engineer!
This is what I read on Numerous threads on CPF with guys who know a lot about this. The beam needs to collimate. Measuring from 1m[actually never heard of a measurement so close] 3m/5m is NOT as accurate as measuring from 10m/15m or 20m
IE: The cd is the lux at one meter, but, measuring the lux AT one meter is almost always wrong to get the cd, because for the throwy lights, the beam may not REPRESENT the true cd until it is even 20 meters away.
For most of the lights, if measured at 20 meters for example, the beam will have formed by then. Just multiply the measured lux at 20 meters by 400 to get the lux at 1 meter (the cd).
So, if you get 250 lux at 20 meters, that means the light has a cd of 100,000, and so forth.
For your lux meter, generally, it will be most accurate at the central part of its range/range with best resolution…so, typically, a more distant reading will reduce the measured lux to the meter’s best resolution.
Much more in thread below: SEE POST 20/30 and 56. the guy “teej” was one of the smartest guys on there,he simplifies his explanation so your average Joe[me]…can understand
That’s why I provided a max and min measurement. Minimum measurement was done at 1m, and maximum measurement was done at 5m.
I’m sorry, but I didn’t have much time yesterday to make a lot of measurements, since I had to give the light to my friend as said before, and I had a ton of work related to the springs and my job, so can’t do too much stuff at once.
I did want to make a 10m measurement, but didn’t have the time. Sorry again
Has anyone tested these cells? I haven’t heard of them.
Vapcell 26650 5500mah 20A
Vapcell INR26650 5900mAh 20A
Soshine 5500mah
I see HKJ tested a protected version of the Soshine 5500. Actual capacity was closer to 5300mah. The protection circuit only allows 7A for a short amount of time. Looks decent, but you can’t really tell unless the protection is removed.
That’s good, but it doesn’t explain why your order was cancelled, right? You ordered pretty early and should have dibs on a light, but instead your order is cancelled without explanation? That bites.
