Video: Large lights comparo across Overpeck Creek (Crelant 7G10, Spark SP6, Nitecore TM26, ThruNite TN31)

Finally found a spot on a boat dock where I can grab some comparo shots (which I'll get to eventually) but for now, here's a video comparison of a few of the larger lights I have. Still learning the ropes w/using the RX100 for video as well as getting familiar w/the area; which by the way, ignore my comments re: distance estimation (other than the boat dock edge that is) as I used Bing Maps and here's what I got for a few key spots using their Distance App:

Video is still uploading/processing so check back a little later if it's still not up:

Orsm video off some orsm lights from an orsm reviewer. Loved every minute of it. Thanks turboBB.

Thanks Tim. :slight_smile:
Interesting test site, something different.

Nice vid. From my experience, lights always seems brighter in person than what’s shown. Given that, nice lights you got there!

Thanks for the video. Nice location.

Thanks for the great vid comparisons. We dont get to many beam shots near water. :bigsmile: As you’ve probably discovered, water gobbles up light like a black hole. This was my solution.

Thx guys!

@rdrfronty - totally enjoyed your Big Bend thread!

@Flash - Yeah, over the water was intentional for the first half of the vid since I wanted to test the throw without any feedback from the bounce in the foreground (in which case, next time, I'll try to get right to the edge of the dock). The second half was general beam profile as well as throw.

Thx for the link, that was an awesome thread!

Good work Tim, thank you :slight_smile:

Thanks for the great beam shots!

Glad you guys enjoyed these, I'll try to get out there during the day to take some control shots so you get an idea of what you're looking at. Also, will be doing more comparos in the future.

@sirockalot - your pics rock!

Love the comparos.
