Great price! *semi groupbuy* Jaxman Z1 host

Good news! Thumbs Up
OK folks it is possible to order the Jaxman Z1 hosts from Jaxman!

!!! When ordering you have to write your BLF name in a message and Jaxman will ask some questions !!!

Yourrid, thanks for your kind offer to keep a list for the groupbuy. Thumbs Up It is not needed (hence the “semi” in the title, there is not minimum number of people and the price is as it is.)

The important parts are excellent, it may happen a pill needs some work. Only order if you are willing and able to do this work Wink

Assembly instructional video by Jaxman:

There is shipping on top of the price (if you order other things like a holster shipping will go down for each item)

Host $32.50 – $35.50 JAXMAN Z1 Host for BLF

A couple of questions for simple clarification. Thumbs Up
  • 1. Is the “message” to Jaxman supposed to be a PM from here on BLF?
  • I see the “parts link” ( Jaxman Parts ) is ‘alive’ again also. Thumbs Up
  • ( Any information as to the possibility of purchasing other ‘hosts’ also, such as the X1 or M8 ? )

2 Nice eh ? Wink

3 first (or actually second Smile ) things first.
For me the mini C8 and X1 are highly interesting but let’s see how this goes for Jaxman first Wink

G'Day The Miller, smile

Any chance of also having the Jaxman stock lights (including the Z1) available for purchase at a "special" BLF price?

Thank you Very Much,

George

It is not a color.
It is for two different hosts.
One with a battery extension and one without.

Notice the price difference when you click on each one and look at the picture.

It plainly shows one does not have the battery extension. It has a RED X” across it and says it is “not included”.

Ok I understand that the colors were not colors, that’s why I put it I quotation marks but when I click on one or the other the picture doesn’t change
Thanks for the explanation about the differences, I couldn’t tell because the picture doesn’t change

Edit to add …ok I think the link is bad for me because when I go to Ali site and search for Jaxman z1 host for Blf the color boxes work, last time I tried the link I just got a white screen

The Miller: in case more Jaxman lights will be sold as hosts to BLF members, something for them to sort out: I have a mini-C8 from them, and mine came with a white led centering ring that is too small: it does not center the led. They fixed that with a dot of glue under the centering piece, but that is a pain once you opened the light up (sorry I did that Wink ). Without a proper centering piece I can tell you it is a nightmare to,correctly focus the led in this light! They mention upcoming black centering pieces, and I hope those are tailor-made for this mini-C8.

Thanks Djozz.
We’ll see how this Z1 goes and if it is worth the trouble for Jaxman.
If so the X1 would be a logical host to follow up with.

I have the ability to 3D print custom centering rings if you have the measurements you need. Or I can send you the CAD files and you can print it locally if you have access to a printer. A lot of libraries are getting them now and sometimes someone on Craigslist will offer the service.

It has saved me SOOO much headache since I starting printing my own rings.

Nice mattjik!

I thought this would go a bit faster then just the two hosts ordered now. Maybe I should pm the people on the interest list of the closed topic?

The Miller, is there a time limit on this?

If so I’ll go ahead and get my order in, otherwise I am going to wait a couple of days till I get paid. Cash

Just checking. Wink

OK, good deal.
Because I will be “unable” to limit myself to only one host, plus I have to make sure I have enough spare parts, etc., etc. Facepalm .. Cash
Hmmmmm, may have to get a loan anyway. Wink Wink

Since Jaxman makes the production model available with XHP50, anyone know if an XHP70 would work in this? Could it be driven hard enough to handle the heat? Or what would be the disadvantage to XHP70 in this?

"Over 2000000 hours (about 200 years) standby time"  (DQG Tiny 4th)

"27,157 results for zoomable flashlight" (ebay)

Took the liberty to pm all those on the original interest list.

Hmm the threading of the zooming part is very nice ans tight, yet comparing the heatpath of a Convoy L6 or TF S70 with t and the Z1 is not designed to take away massive amounts of heat.
The L6 and S70 do get hot so I imagine running a Z1 XHP70 while pushing the emitters very hard could not be the wisest of things to do for a long period of time.
But as most hotrods do not run for extensive periods a XHP70 Z1 gives one a wow factor light and heavy blast for sure and on a lower then hard driven mode I imagine also an useful zoomie. But others may chime in here Wink

Now having trouble making the host parts page work
The “ color “ box doesn’t change when you try to choose
The site is really frustrating Jaxman
Does anybody else get the parts page to work? Sad

It works just fine for me, I just tried it.

Try this link………..

  • I see the “parts link” ( Jaxman Parts ) is ‘alive’ again also.

EDIT / As far as the “site being really frustrating”………. maybe it is not the site that is having the “problem”. Personally, it is one of the easiest to use sites I have ever used. I’m not trying to pick on you, but just because you seem to be having a problem please do not automatically blame the site or tell Jaxman about it from the start. Let’s deal with things like this without “drama” or this ‘buy opportunity’ will be a “dead duck” again. Smile

If you want more then one thing
Select it -> add to cart -> continue shopping -> select different part -> and so on.
If you want more of the same item in cart you can set a number.

Not having problems here.
Well except from the occasional switch if language (click “global site” top right corner in that cade)

Still have the same issue using that link
I don’t have any problems with other sites on Ali and had the same issue with the z1 page, I’m certainly not a computer person but the fact that jaxmans z1 pages don’t work or sometimes work if I do a search instead of using the link tells me the Jaxman site is wonky, this is not drama it’s what it is

There may be some old links on there from the first group buy that went belly up if a search is done???

Try this link and see if it works for you??? It works for me…..
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Parts-for-JAXMAN-Z1-BLF-Host/1812094_32682213138.html?spm=2114.12010108.1000013.6.XiyFce

I understand that if it does not work for you, that is not drama. But if you are the only person it does not work for then it is highly unlikely the site is “wonky”, as you put it. Otherwise it seems someone else would have the same problem.

Or at least it seems that way to me. YMMV …… Smile
