..., I consider myself a flashaholic and not a watchaholic, but since I bought this watch last week, and no flashlight this time, here you go:
It is a GWS H3 Tritium G10 Pro Black Military Watch, bought on ebay. The strap is a 5ring Zulu-strap I bought separately, but i believe it suits it very nicely.
Thanks for the welcome and the 'djozz-art'. My girlfriend believes having more than one flashlight (the one you need when going to the toilets while camping) is pretty mad too, let go rebuilding them and dwell about it on the internet.
To be honest, not so sure yet if I like them. I think I'm more of a bracelet guy.
I've tried leather straps again and again and always came back to bracelets and Nato straps.
Yes, I have already changed that black original strap back to Seiko.
Wife also liked it and reserved the leather strap saying: " You cannot wear it at work anyway, so I can use it meanwhile...". Should have not told I have magnetic hazards at work
Anyway I think the size is not too big for regular ladies wrist either.
Mechanical is a no-no there...
I had my eye also on that Pepsi Seiko and that bigger military style Seiko, but I had in mind to buy something UNDER 40mm this time.
Edit: BTW Seiko is keeping magnificent time, which is a bit of a surprice for me. I've read anything between +20 and -20 from 7s26 but this seems to go steady +1 (!).
What the....? Could it be this is the watch that does NOT need regulating?
Too early still to celebrate, let's see again in a week or two when it has some miles behind it
I like this one because it was made in my country, because Lip was emblematic of workers’ self-management when, in 70’s, workers tried to organized themselves to save their jobs, their experience, their history, to continue to produce good watches.
“ LIP (company) “:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LIP_%28company%29 on wikipedia.
l’Electronic: 1952 – the first models were worn by Charles de Gaulle and U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Mine is not that old, it was “reissued” but I am very happy to have found this one and to take care of this piece of the “little history” of my country and of my fellows “blue collars”, even if it is not a rare and / or a very good watch.

I've always been a fan of the "Lip" watches, and am the proud owner of a vintage Mach2000. As soon as I can find someone who won't charge me more than the watch is worth to clean/adjust it, I plan on putting it back in service.

Not sure how much those cost, but have you asked Christian about servicing? http://watchguy.co.uk/
I surely can recommend!
edit:
Wow, very unique style in these, never seen these before!
The battery on my timex died and it would cost more to replace the battery than what I paid for the watch, so naturally this thread caught my eye to see what’s out there.
I have a Casio Databank watch on the way (gotta represent my geekyness! also surprised they still make them, i remember wanting one as a kid and they were expensive back then) http://www.amazon.com/Casio-Mens-DBC32-1A-Databank-Watch/dp/B000AQVRWO
After reading this thread, I was natually led to watchuseek where I noticed people recommending Seiko 5 series watches as the best value for what you get. I then saw this and now I’m in love http://forums.watchuseek.com/f21/my-beautiful-new-seiko-seiko-5-snke51k1.... Still deciding between this or the SNK793, and possibly the SNK807 although that is more of a casual watch and I’m a sucker for blue dials. Also like the relative simplicity of these models, I don’t need extraneous dials and features that would go underutilized with me (this coming from a guy who just bought a calculator watch!)
use & abuse
a quality watch should not be impressed when treated like this
p.s.
I am not able to play piano.

Just ordered this:
Nice Seiko 5 flight watch !
Enjoy your new watch, these are quite popular in the forums! I really like the blue dial and the red tip of the second hand.

Hmm, I mean I ordered the black one… Did I link a wrong pic
Not sure what to expect. These are pretty cheap yet highly praised for high price / quality.
But then, so are my Sea-Gulls.
Too bad my wife is on a trip and took the proper camera with her, so Cell phone quality it is!
Sea-Gull ST5 cross-dressed for fun with Seiko 5. Leather strap from mythaicraft, eBay.
816.362 is wearing a Hirsch Knight and 816.351 has Hirsch Duke.
To be honest, not so sure yet if I like them. I think I'm more of a bracelet guy.
They look good tho...
I got a deal locally from private person, Duke & Knight were both delivered for under 38$, which I think was reasonable.
Thanks for stopping by, Bribo!
