I think he’s saying to take your back and forth discussion with the other Poles to PM so it doesn’t clutter up the thread.

I assume you will get a reply from someone in charge when they are able or have info.

To the unfortunate few that are still waiting for their GT….. why do you feel the need to keep telling us about it???

We know. Everybody knows.
More posting WILL NOT help us know anything more.

  • LT did not loose your lights.
  • You have been told numerous times a package trace is being run on your missing packages. LT can only request this, they DO NOT control how long it takes the carrier to complete the trace. Your complaining WILL NOT speed up the process.
  • You HAVE NOT “lost your money”… you are simply (sadly for you) having to wait until the process runs it’s course. We all know that, did you forget??
  • LT or anyone else IS NOT ‘out to get you and/or rob you’. Try to let that sink in.
  • Sux to be you in this case….. BUT, you must wait for the process to be complete BEFORE you will get an answer about your missing package. Is this hard to understand???
  • In other words…. It Is What It Is. …. NOTHING will change that until the process is complete, simple as that. Wink

I already know that some people are waiting for their flashlight, which is really a bummer.
But it won’t help to clutter the thread with these kind of posts and closing the thread. Becuase it has happend like two times before.

But that just what i think. So im not going to clutter the thread even more with these posts.

Why should they close the thread?

We are not the bad guys, gave our money and got until now nothing in return….they should ban the so called wannabe dealers in this forum ( and there are a lot)
No problem with them if they do there job right and I can save a few $/€

Best is for everyone to know what can happen and be prepared if the goods not show up after 5 months…

NO communication at all from the guys who are invoved in this $ business….

Sorry for the guys who already got there GT’s, but this is at the moment the only way to vent our problems

Unfortunately, the above posts and the fact that for my posts I got rudeness shows only what customs are on this forum. The message is simple: praise important users, do not complain, do not point out bugs, etc. because we block the ability to write posts or get a ban …

Rude points do not block posts and do not cause bans.

Jimmy007, I am genuinely curious & this is an honest question.

What do you feel you are “pointing out” that has not already been pointed out?

The things that have been pointed out have been answered (several times it seems) with the action being taken to resolve the problems. When answers are available they have been & still are being given to the concerned individuals.

Have I missed something else that is concerning you?? If so, I would honestly like to know what it is.

Thank you……

Not to worry, you will not loose your money. You will either get the GT or a refund, BLF will ensure this. If lumintop screwed people over this now, it would ruin their reputation and they know it.

They are simply (justifiably) worried that both the first GT and a replacement would show up and they would not be paid for the second one.

All of the lost lights were shipping with registered mail which does not have insurance. This is one reason they are using DHL for most orders this time.

Like I said, you will get a refund if it is not possible to ship to your country, which is the case in some of these situations.

That is part of why they are waiting for the package trace. If it comes back basically saying that the a reshipment will suffer the same fate, well they are not going to ship another one naturally and will instead send a refund.

Yeah, I am having a real hard time deciding which one I like better myself, every time I think I have decided I try the other one and I realized I have not decided lol.

Lol, I have the same problems with firearms. I’m to the point now between handguns and flashlights, I’m coordinating carry combos depending on weather, location, and activity.

Maybe you should build a domed/sliced XHP50 GT. Big Smile We are curious about the results and beamshots on this tree. How far is the tree?

Wow! Those are very good results and very well done beamshot by TA. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
I am guilty of no contribution of beamshot with GT. In severe procrastination mode nowadays.

cool i'll see you when you get there

It also has a custom TA driver to get the extra output over the stock buck driver and custom centering ring.
It gives you an extra ~2000-2500 lumens with the TA driver.

Yep, been there, done that. I ended up deciding that while a .45 is fun on the range, it is too big and cumbersome for an EDC. So I moved over to the 9mm. Then you have all the variations like .40, .357 sig, 5.7mm ect that would make it even harder to decide if they were cheap enough to consider.

I have wanted to do that as well although I am going to guess the results will be basically the same throw with a lot less lumens based on the numbers. The biggest issue is the mcpcb, finding one that would fit and be 12v could be difficult.

Is anyone else concerned about build quality and QC issues with the GT?

I am concerned that there will be significant variations in how each LED and reflector will be focused and getting a GT that is true to spec will be somewhat of a lottery… I read somewhere in the 1st batch a member ordered 2 GTs, one for himself and one for his dad and the one for his dad was visibly less focused and had significantly less throw than his. He had to adjust the height of the LED or shave the base of the reflector on his dad’s GT to get it to focus properly….

I think I was the only person that tried to alter the reflector height to try and improve the focus. I noticed my black centering ring had a small warp underneath it which made the reflector sit a little higher then I think it normally would. So I sanded down that black spacer so that it’s middle area was nice and flat.

I don’t think it made any type of noticeable difference in the size of the hot spot or corona.

It might have been too small of a change to actually see and unfortunately, I didn’t take any lux measurements before or after.

I remember the situation that you’re referring to, but I don’t remember the outcome. It might have just been an instance where one reflector had a slightly smoother finish than the other reflector which created some type of visible difference. I can’t remember if the hotspot size was changed or if it was only a change in the corona size. Maybe someone else can say more on the subject.

Besides the reflector smoothness, which will always be a compromise between quality, cost and speed, the overall build quality and quality control is very high. When you hold it in your hands or take it apart, it looks and feels every bit of a 300 to 400 dollar light. I think everyone agrees on that.

(My honest opinion. No, I don’t work for Lumintop. Lol)

Same here, and a message that EUR37 in duty and fees is due.
Sad thing is that half of it is fees to DHL, witch is just crazy. On the other hand i now know DHL has the light and all the processing forward will be very “german”.
