Cool, thanks for the update! I did the order on mobile and had a few false starts getting the code to work, so I was a bit worried my order was screwed up!
The GT70 CW is awesome, I tested it and was amazed. Now, can someone make me a handle and battery compartment similar to the maxabeam? Oh,and something to plug it in the car 12 volt socket
I have been off for a while , so i have a little question .
Is there a deadline to order the conversion kit ? I have received the email but still haven’t ordered . Thanks!
They have not informed me of the end date yet but I expect it will not be that much longer.
I don’t generally ask too many questions about the end date in hopes they forget about it lol. The downside to this is there is not usually much warning when it does end.
If I had to guess I would say that 2 more weeks should be doable and possibly longer but I simply don’t know at this point.
I ordered 2x conversion KIT on 11 September.
For now non info about shipping.
Order status : Wait For Shipping
Did anyone who has ordered conversion KIT has diferent status?

I will update the OP, a few posts up it was explained that there was a minor delay in the LED delivery so they were not able to ship this week as they wanted and will be shipping them out next week.
Luckily it still falls under what I posted in the OP that it could be the end of the month but still should post an update.
all I need now is one neutral white conversion kit for my BLF GT(version 1)
please count me IN
Thanks
Congrats…. . Did yours come off easy or with much difficulty??
Not OP but mine came off very hard.
First I tried with my hands, silly me.
Then I got some strap wrenches, and tried putting one on the head and one on the body, that was a no go, almost broke the smaller of the two wrenches.
Then I tried putting the body between a wooden door and it’s frame, like I did to get my H03 apart before I had wrenches, that didn’t work.
So then I finally remembered my neighbor has a vice, facepalmed the inside of the back of my skull, and headed over to his house. I put the body in the vice between some towels, and I pulled and twisted and pulled until I was literally beginning to lift the entire 3’×6’ steel frame table off the floor.. so I braced my body against the table and tried again, and she finally let loose.

So.. not easy haha.
Impressive! Mine wasn’t nearly as adventurous…I removed the button so I had a nice flat surface to put in a vise (between two pieces of soft leather), and with some gentle but persistent persuasion with a strap wrench, it eventually broke free.

I actually broke my wrench when I tried to open the GT. Thing I have to give up the conversion to GT70 now... probably will just break the vice of my Grandfather if I try again to open this Monster
Actually came off with only a 5 minute fight. I had him on the ground, and I was pummeling his head with a large Craftsman strap wrench(the rubber straps are new and nice and tacky). I uttered a few vulgarities and put him in a half Nelson. He groaned for mercy, I cursed again, threw all my weight upon his neck, gave a loud yell, and ripped his head off. Not a mark on him, but he was broken, in just the 2 pieces I needed.
Do we actually need new battery carriers for the conversion ? PossiblyDue to some voltage change?

No.
Lumintop tried to reduce the resistance in the springs by tighten them. They made the aluminium base thicker and shortened the rods.
But protected batteries won’t fit any more.
(Protected are recommended for safty and legal reasons: Remember you have 8 chances to put a battery wrong into a cartier. If you use unprotected you should know what you are doing)
If that is the South African Rand – R1725.00 =$117.77 to $128.15 depending on which converter you use
What currency are you using for the ‘R 1,725’?? Thank you shirnask. Lothar is from South Africa it appears, so maybe that is it.

Yip, R1725 would equate to roughly $115-120
Thanks, I’ll have a look tonight

Interested in buying a NW – BLF GT70!
My GT70 arrived today
it was shipped from China Wednesday and was delivered this afternoon
DHL is amazing
The reflector looks great, I see no flaws
They did not etch BLF GT70 into the side of the light engine
wish they did
I just fired it up outside,
it puts out a very impressive amount of light
Has anyone had their NW lights shipped yet? Mine is still waiting on shipping…
They had a slight delay getting the LED’s in and reflowed to the mcpcb’s. They do have them now though and will start shipping next week.
This is why I build in some time for delays and said it could be the end of the month before they ship, you just never know what will come up.

Even with DHL’s 2-3 day delivery, waiting is the hardest part.

Do we actually need new battery carriers for the conversion ? PossiblyDue to some voltage change?
Just got this picture last night:
The GT70’s are officially being packed and are set to be dropped off at the forwarders this weekend.
Lets hope they can start the trip before the Holiday China has next week.
